Spend An Hour At The Art Car Museum
Nicknamed the Garage Mahal, the Art Car Museum is exactly what youd expect: art made out of cars.
The Museum displays colorful sculptures of vintage rides created by a range of local, national, and international artists. However, complementing the eclectic selection of classic cars decked out in lobsters and fake fruit, the museum also houses non-car-related pieces like two skeletons playing chess.

Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo
There is no better time to be in Houston than for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.
Say goodbye to turf as the football field is taken over by dirt, rodeo clowns and bucking broncos every spring.
Rodeo season officially kicks off with Go Texan Day.
Dont be surprised to see cowboys on horseback blocking traffic or businessmen in suits wearing their best boots and cowboy hat that day.
A day at the rodeo is a full day event. Spend the afternoon riding carnival rides with the kids.
Eat your weight in deep fried everything, turkey legs, and barbecue. See the animals and of course, watch the rodeo
And to top it off, there are twenty consecutive days of live music that rival most Superbowl halftime shows with stars ranging from Tim McGraw to Beyonce.
Pro-tip: Dont miss the mutton busting, where tiny kids desperately cling to bucking broncos, just kidding, to the backs of sheep until they fall off. It is the cutest thing youll ever see.
Crazy Things To Do In Houston Beer Can House

With a population of almost 7 MILLION people you are sure to see a wide variety of everything and anything here in Houston. In this case, you see an unusual hobby or pastime.
Way back before we thought about recycling things like beer cans, John Miklovisch enjoy a beer in the evenings and decided to keep those cans rather than throw them out. In the many years since he started created with cans back in 1968 he has continued to add to his house.
Some call it art or sculpture but he doesnt. As a matter of fact he has this to say about his creation:
Some people say this is sculpture but I didnt go to no expensive school to get these crazy notions.
Now the Beer Can House has more than 50,000 cans, he put has covered the front yard because he doesnt like to mow the grass and crated all sorts of landscape creations with it. He also discovered that covering the house reflected the light keeping it cooler and their electric bills went down. In the insane heat of a Houston summer this was surely the place to be.
Who drank all the beer? He did and so did his helpful neighbors. What kind is Johns favorite beer?
Whatevers on special.

The National Museum Of Funeral History

Admittedly, the National Museum of Funeral History is a pretty obscure recommendation and its a ways out of town, so its almost better to do on your way to the airport if that makes sense but I went here on my last trip and it was just too unusual and interesting not to recommend.
First of all, this museum is way bigger than youd expect, with a handful of wildly fascinating exhibits: famous deaths, the history of hearses, funerals around the world, the history of embalming and some special exhibits from time to time! Instead of being creepy or weird, the National Museum of Funeral History is educational and normalizes what happens after death. Seriously, must do if youre up for that sort of thing.
