Coffee And Breakfast In Woodstock Vt Mon Vert Cafe
As you may know, we really love coffee! Mon Vert has excellent coffee options in a hip downtown cafe. But its their breakfast that keeps guests coming again and again. Wow!
We dined on fruit-topped french toast and classic biscuits and gravy. We were stuffed to the gills after our meal, but we were so, so content.
The staff here is amazingly friendly and down-to-earth, something that can really take a coffee shop or restaurant to the next level. 10/10 highly recommend!
Like Cloudland, Mon Vert Cafe also relies heavily on local farms and suppliers. No doubt, this is one of the reasons the food is so awesome.
Lost River Gorge And Boulder Caves
This natural funhouse in Kinsman Notch was created millions of years ago when glaciers melted and created a flow of debris-filled water that eroded the rocks. Today you can climb through the gorge, following the brook through narrow passages to see it burst out in waterfalls and swirl in huge potholes, as your kids learn about glaciers and geology and even, for a small fee, pan for gemstones and fossils in the Lost River mining sluice. Things To Do In Woodstock Vt
Woodstock: 16 miles W of White River Junction 140 miles NW of Boston 98 miles SE of Burlington
For more than a century, the resort community of Woodstock has been considered one of New England’s most exquisite villages, and its attractiveness has benefited from the largesse of some of the country’s most affluent citizens. Even the surrounding countryside is, by and large, unsullied — it’s pretty difficult to drive to Woodstock via any route that isn’t pastoral and scenic, and by the time you’re here you’re already feeling as if you’re back in some other, slower-paced era. Few New England villages can top Woodstock for sheer grace and elegance its tidy downtown is compact and neat, populated by galleries and boutiques. The lovely village green is surrounded by handsome homes, creating what amounts to a comprehensive review of architectural styles of the 19th and early 20th centuries, and you could literally throw a stone from the town center and hit a fine covered bridge.
In addition to Woodstock, this region also takes in nearby White River Junction, Quechee, and Norwich, three towns of distinctly different lineages along the Connecticut River on the New Hampshire border. In fact, while here you’ll want to cross over the river to Hanover, New Hampshire, a lovely town that’s home to Dartmouth College.

Checking Into The Woodstock Inn Brewery
135 Main St, North Woodstock, NH 03262 / Website
First things first, you want to check in to a comfy hotel. The Woodstock Inn Brewery has accommodations inside the facility and surrounding houses. When we checked in, we got our key to the Swiftwater room located in the Cascade Lodge across the street. We opened the door and immediately saw a little common room filled with fun games, books, a TV, a couch, and a roaring fireplace. When we unlocked the door to our room, we noticed right away how beautiful and spacious it was. The mountain theme flows through the room by incorporating plenty of wood furniture and decor, surrounded by iron outlines of animals and trees. Theres a fireplace right in the room with a little sitting area separate from the bedroom and a TV above the fireplace.
