Bruton Parish Episcopal Church
One of the most important American religious sites is the Bruton Parish Episcopal Church.
This Williamsburg church was the first in the state to have a cruciform shape.
It was also attended by the likes of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.
Today, it has been wonderfully restored and is one of the biggest points of interest in Colonial Williamsburg.
Although Bruton is a historical place, its still used for church services.
One of the greatest draws is the organ, the current of which came from Dobson Pipe Organ Builders.
Its a must see church, no matter what your beliefs are.

Bike Along The Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway
If you feel like biking, pick up a Citibike from Kent Ave & N 7th then ride along the Greenway bike path, which runs along Kent Ave past Domino Park and then all the way past Brooklyn Navy Yard to Dumbo. If youre not a seasoned biker this is quite an easy route, as the bike path is wide and pretty straightforward to follow.

- Devocion – If youve been following my adventures for a while, youll know that Devocion is my favorite coffee shop in New York. The Williamsburg location is huge, has a greenhouse feel with the skylight + tons of plants inside and serves incredible fresh coffee that goes from being harvested in Colombia to being roasted in Brooklyn just 10 days. Whatever you do- dont forget to get a croissant while youre here!
- Hungry Ghost Coffee– Hungry Ghost first opened in Brooklyn in 2012 and now the local chain has 13 locations around the city. This cafe partnered with Stumptown Coffee from the beginning and continues to serve excellent espresso drinks.
- Partners Coffee – The Williamsburg roastery opened in 2012 and the Brooklyn company has only continued to grow. You know you want to order a cortado with their flagship Bedford espresso to go so you can sip it outside on Bedford Ave.
- Blue Bottle – In the 2000s, the first Blue Bottle locations opened in California. They served coffee to order made with the pour-over method. Today, locations have expanded to Japan, Korea and other US locations. Order a pour over or a New Orleans-style iced coffee.
- Variety Coffee – This Williamsburg-based roastery serves some of the best coffee in the city. Sit at one of the sidewalk tables to get some work done or catch up with friends as you sip your iced latte .
