Expedia For Show Tickets
anyone know if the show tickets under “Activities” are decent prices?
I find Expedia to be FAR more expensive for everything. It’s best to book directly .
Show tickets at discount are offered at Travelzoo.com SmarterVegas.com and Gold Star Events.
Those are the only discount places that actually have good deals once in a while.
I agree, they are usually higher priced however I still check the prices because I was able to get Folies Bergere for less than Goldstar events was charging, last year. So, maybe once in a while they have an ‘unadvertised’ sale. I’m obsessive about checking prices so I don’t leave them out. LOL

Not Visiting Las Vegas With An Open Mind
When visiting Las Vegas for the first time, youll want to visit with an open mind. You never know what youll encounter while walking the Vegas Strip, so embrace all the people-watching and be open to anything.
Just dont do something that youll regret, like getting an impulse tattoo or losing your shirt at the casino. Now that would be a rookie mistake.
Save Money On Vegas Restaurants
- Eat at one of the many buffets offered in Vegas. Some include unlimited wine or beer if thats your thing.
- Take advantage of Las Vegas happy hours for food and drink deals. This is my favorite way to save money when eating out in Vegas.
- Dont be afraid to eat off the Vegas Strip. You can find plenty of affordable and top-quality restaurants just a short distance from the Strip.

Affordable Hotels On The Las Vegas Strip:

- Luxor This Egyptian theme hotel offers great value on the Strip.
- Excalibur This is a great family-friendly hotel that offers affordable rates.
- Flamingo This classic hotel offers one of the best locations for experiencing the Vegas Strip.
- The LINQ This hotel is located near the center of the Strip and great for a younger crowd.
- Harrahs This hotel is near the center of the Strip and offers budget-friendly rates.
Buying A Drink At The Casino Bar
I made this rookie mistake when visiting Las Vegas for the first time. I was looking for a quick place to have a drink and ordered one from the casino bar. Big mistake the drinks were wayyy over priced!
Ive heard that you can get free drinks while gambling , however Im not much of a gambler, so I havent tried this myself.
Instead, if youre looking to have a drink, I recommend having a drink or two in your hotel room first .
Also, its legal to have an open container on the Strip , so you can carry your drinks around in a plastic cup or beer can.
To save money when drinking, I recommend looking for happy hours. There are plenty on the Vegas Strip which offer various specials. Its also a great way to save money on food if you dont mind eating dinner a little early or late at night.
