Go Turtle Spotting At Coral Gardens
During your vacation, you should definitely take some time to snorkel at Coral Gardens . This reef is easy to access because it starts near the shore. This is one of the best places to snorkel in the Turks & Caicos, so youre bound to have lots of interesting sightings. Some of the sea creatures you might see while snorkeling here include green turtles, hawksbill turtles, southern brown stingrays, and sometimes spotted eagle rays. Depending on when you go, you might even spot a nurse shark or two!
Bird Rock Point Heritage Field Road
Explore a serene area of coastal coppice woodland at Bird Rock Point Heritage Fields. Bordered by a residential community, the coppice is roughly 111 acres large with a conch farm and the Caicos Banks within the immediate vicinity. There is a simple 1.3-mile-long trail that leads to a spectacular area just opposite Bird Rock and allows visitors to really appreciate the last remaining underdeveloped portions of the Providenciales east end. Explore the mangrove habitats, walk along the sandy coves, or enjoy the sea grass beds just a few feet away from the shore. Trust us, if youre a nature lover, this spot simply must not be missed.
Connect With Nature At Taylor Bay Beach
Explore the Caribbeans maritime wonders at Taylor Bay Beach! Sailboats often anchor themselves to its secluded turquoise waters, adding to its already amazing scenery. Located near Chalk Sound on the islands south coast, Taylor Bay Beach also makes for a great escape from the larger, more crowded Turks & Caicos beaches.
There arent many spots for snorkeling, but the waters are clear and shallow, ideal for beginner swimmers. Little ones will love splashing in the warm sea, which is approximately 2-4 feet deep for nearly half a mile out. Due to low tides, interesting patches of sand often form funky designs along the shore as well. Plus, with a plethora of well-maintained trails housing beautiful birds, its also a good spot to connect with nature! Parents can hit the tennis courts too. Taylor Bay Beach remains one of the best things to do with kids in Turks & Caicos!

Attend A Thursday Fish Fry
If you happen to be in Turks and Caicos on a Thursday, attending one of their weekly fish fries is a great evening activity. They occur every Thursday from 5:30 pm until 9:30 pm. You can enjoy this before heading off to bed for the night.
The fish fry happens at the Kids Park in lower Bight, Providenciales. The event consists of dozens of food and souvenir vendors coming together to support each other and, of course, show the visitors how amazing the people and culture of the islands are.
During the hours the fish fry is going on, youll hear live performances from local musicians and performers that pay homage to Turks and Caicos culture. Its a great way to expose your kids to new cultures and try food that you otherwise might not have.
Grab Some Lunch On The Beach
Eating right on the beach tops my list for must-haves on a beach vacation. There is something just so relaxing about enjoying your dinner right next to the waves! There are a lot of beachside restaurants on Grace Bay and we only got a chance to visit a few of them. One of our favorites was Bay Bistro, an unassuming restaurant with an EPIC view of the beach! It was walking distance from the Regent Village and our hotel. The food at Bay Bistro was one of the best we had on the island, and my son really enjoyed their homemade ice cream for dessert.

Theres lightly battered conch in a tasty curry, and the jerk chicken. Da Conch Shack also has a wide variety of kid-friendly meals like hot dogs and hamburgers for less adventurous eaters. Ride a golf cart or walk up to the cliff summit, the highest point on Grand Turk, where youll find Grand Turk Lighthouse. It towers 60-ft tall, providing perfect visibility to alert ships of the shallow reef. The historic lighthouse was built in the mid-1800s, made in the UK but was transported and assembled on the island. It was recently renovated and remains in use today.

Grace Bay Beach Providenciales Turks And Caicos
Hands down the best part about Turks and Caicos is the beautiful beaches and crystal clear water. Seriously the beach here is INSANE! Grace Bay Beach is the most popular beach on Providenciales. Many of the popular hotels and resorts are on this beach. We stayed at Bianca Sands Resort during our stay and this resort had an AMAZING spot on the beach. The sand was gorgeous, the water crystal clear, and SOO AMAZINGLY blue!
There is lots to do on the beach for kids and families. We brought along a few small sand toys, and a wave runner ball to play in the sand. Our hotel also had sand toys you could rent. Ive got a whole post about the best beach hacks with young kids you should definitely check it out if you are headed somewhere warm!
For adults, there is nothing better than a lounge chair and some walks along the beach. Grace Bay is expansive and its great to walk along the beach in the mornings and evening when the sun isnt too hot. Near our resort, there was parasailing and a jet ski rental nearby.

Hotels & Resorts: The Scoop On Turks & Caicos All
Beaches Resort and The Sands at Grace Bay are two top all-inclusives that offer great deals.from April-June. In those prime winter months expect to pay top dollar.
If your family is into big resorts with enormous pools, shops, non-stop activities, character breakfasts and tons of other families, head to the Beaches Resort Village.
The feedback FamiliesGo! has gotten on Beaches is that the quality adult amenities are well worth the steep rates if you get to enjoy them.
Its a good fit with school-age and tween kids wholl like being able to go around on their own and will jumpt in to the activities.
It will also appeal if your toddler or preschooler will spend time in the kids club and give you some R& R time.
For my family, and especially my 2YO, the large number of kids, noise and activities was overwhelming.
There are smaller, more laid back resorts that still have activities, kids clubs, a family pool, kids menus and round trip transfers. This type of hotel was more relaxing and a better fit for us.
Many hotels that are not big all-inclusive resorts offer all-inclusive meal plans. This can be an easy option when you have a baby or very small child along.
Its also easy enough to find non-all-inclusive hotels and resorts that include breakfast in your room rate, so dont book one that doesnt.
