The Philbrook Museum of Art is a former oil magnates villa that has been converted into stylish and well thought out collection of artwork, mainly of Native American origin. The villa itself is attractive with beautiful greenery surrounding it. The Philbrook Museum of Art also has a second location in the Brady Arts District of the city. It is more of a contemporary art venue but is every bit as classy as the Philbrook Museum of Art. Docent-led tours of the collections take place daily and are totally free.

The city has partnered with Paragon Industries, American Heritage Bank and more to present a unique display of 300 drones that will put on an animated show. The presentation starts around 9:15 and is best seen from Kelly Lane Park. Food trucks on site will be VFresco, Cowboys & Angels Chuck Wagon, Alpha Grill, JJs Burgers and Dawgs, Royal Ts, SqueezeMe Lemonade and Frios.

Ida Red General Store is popular, with two locations, but I preferred tiny and quirky Buck Atoms Cosmic Curios. Opened in 2018, the former Route 66 gas station carries a line of Tulsa gifts emblazoned with the shops namesake, who stands a full 21-feet tall outside the shop.

Things To Do In Tulsa: Oklahoma Jazz Hall Of Fame

The Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame is located in the former Tulsa Union Depot, a 1931 landmark Art Deco building that originally served as the central railway station in downtown Tulsa. After extensive renovations, the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame began using the facility in 2007 to showcase individual blues, gospel, and jazz musicians as well as music groups from the state of Oklahoma. The building is now called the Jazz Depot: it is a museum with artifacts, memorabilia, and photographs related to Oklahoma musicians. It is also a venue for concerts, arts programs, and other events. Education programs include after school programs, a Performing Arts Academy for children, and much more.
