As a revitalization attempt, the town was renamed for a local, Native American Olympian named Jim Thorpe. The museum is open for tours with guides that will teach you more about the history of the town and the artifacts collected. This is a perfect rainy day option for the family.

Mountain Creek Riding Stables

4.5 based on 68 reviews

This place was great! My husband and I chose to come to Mountain Creek from Jim Thorpe over Deer Path due to bad reviews for the latter. The staff here were friendly and knowledgable. We were the ones riding after a weeks worth of rain, so it was a private ride. The trail, for the most part, was beautiful. We saw deer and a bunch of wild Turkey. The horses were sweet and friendly. We even got to try trotting twice- it was so much fun. Totally worth the drive!
