The Ultimate List Of Things To Do In Frisco Where Stay And Eat

Surrounded by world-renowned ski resorts Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain and Vail Frisco, Colorado is often overlooked as a Colorado destination. But being a resort-less town has its perks, so many that this little mountain town shines on its own. Its truly Summit Countys hidden gem.

I was first introduced to Frisco years ago when I moved to Colorado and would regularly drive through it to reach Breckenridge for my weekend ski fix. It wasnt until the summer months that I really spent time and got to know Frisco. With three sides of public land surrounding the town, and the shores of Dillon Reservoir enclosing the other, the biking, hiking, and water activities are endless, making Frisco an ideal outdoor recreation destination.

Last winter I was invited by the Town of Frisco to spend a few days in town to get to know Friscos other side. It made such an impression that this year, my family and I spent five weekends in a row staying downtown. The kids were enrolled in a ski program at Copper Mountain so we took advantage of the amenities Frisco offers to make it a fun-filled month.

The town of Frisco has a lot to offer and if done right, can be a more affordable destination than its neighbors. Ive updated this guide from its first publishing date of Feb. 24, 2017 with more things to do in Frisco, recommendations on where to eat and how to find the best lodging in Frisco. If you have any additional tips, wed love to hear them in the comments.

Mountain Biking In Summit County

  • Moderate Trail : Aspen Alley
  • Well let the name speak for itself. In the fall, the leave covered 1.3-mile single track provides views of Breckenridge Ski Resort through pines and Aspen groves. Start from the Boreas Pass trailhead and ride the fast and flowy track down. Catch the Summit Stage bus by the ice arena or climb back up to lap the trail.

  • Difficult Trail : Little French Loop
  • The mostly single-track route is 12.6 miles long and starts from the B& B trailhead. Ride it clockwise for a smooth and well-paced ride. You will be traveling through old mining territory, so keep your eye open for remnants of Breckenridges rich history beneath fallen leaves. Locals advise downloading the MTB Project map of the Little French Loop, as the twists and turns can be confusing.
