Catch A Baseball Game

The Sugar Land Skeeters are this small citys professional baseball team. A member of the American League of Professional Baseball, it plays home games at Constellation Field. The Skeeters season starts in spring and winds up in the fall. Constellation Field has a variety of amenities, including a grassy area to watch the game and have a picnic, a childrens play area with a carousel, and an assortment of food vendors. You can get tickets by phone, online or at the box office.

Things To Do In Sugar Land Texas: Children’s Discovery Center

The Children’s Discovery Center focuses on the learning and developmental needs of children in and around the Sugar Land community. To achieve this goal, the Discovery Center designed five interactive exhibits throughout its 12,000 square foot building. One exhibit is called How Does It Work, where kids learn about the inner workings of the natural world. Another exhibit, called Kidtropolis USA, is a favorite because its a child size town where kids learn about financial literacy and how to build a meaningful and secure life while living in community. Lastly, the remaining three exhibits are called Knewton Know-How, Tot-spot and Yalalag.

Constellation Field is a baseball park that opened for play in 2012 with enough seats for 7,500 fans. It is the home field for professional baseball team, Sugar Land Skeeters. They are part of an independent league, called the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. During baseballs offseason, Constellation Field hosts other sporting events, such as soccer, rugby, football, lacrosse, and cheerleading competitions. Also, concerts take place at the field, which can accommodate a total of 9,500 spectators. Other aspects of the field include a team store that sells Skeeter team apparel, a play area with a sports court, food stalls, and beer and wine on tap.

The Sugar Land Heritage Foundation is responsible for the preservation of Sugar Lands heritage and history as a working plantation. To do this, the Foundation collected historical artifacts, photographs, and written records that document and tell the story of the towns past. The Foundation preserves all these items and then shares and celebrates them with the community and its visitors. These items are on display in a museum exhibit gallery inside the old Imperial Sugar Refinery site that shut down in 2003. Today, the Foundation offers the public a historic walking tour to share the history of Sugar Land.

    This is not a treatment program, but rather a peer coaching and support program whose primary purpose is helping combat veterans find healing, balance and positive re-integration with their families and in society. In addition, The Warrior Family Support Groups exist to assist family members of PTSD sufferers in understanding and healing from.

    Sugar Land is a city in southern Texas, located 20 miles from downtown Houston. Once a producer of sugarcane, this city is now one of the fasting growing and most affluent cities in Texas. Although Sugar Land is hot and humid in the summer, the winter tends to be mild and cool. Year round, visitors make their way to the museum, discovery center, or indoor performance center for a play or concert. There are also several sporting events that take place at Constellation Field, cultural walking tours at the old Imperial Sugar Refinery, and shopping and dining at the Town Square. Certain attractions may be temporarily closed or require advance reservations. Some restaurants are currently offering pickup only. Hours/availability may have changed.
