The Verde Valley is home to some incredible spiritual centers and retreats like the Sedona Dahn Yoga Center or Sedona Soul Adventures where guests can sign up for workshops on various healing arts, from yoga to meditation, psychic readings, and healing therapies.

Dinner Reservations Are Easier To Get

Besides all the great room rates in winter, youll also be happy to know that dining reservations are much easier to get between December and February as well. The same exception to holidays is in play here as mentioned above.

In general you should be able to get a table at most restaurants in the city during your visit. I would stil book these before you arrive if possible, but you should have no trouble if making a reasonable effort to plan ahead.

Day Trip To The Grand Canyon

From Sedona, it’s just a 2.5-hour drive to one of the most famous and awe-inspiring sights in America.

The drive from Sedona takes you up through the beautiful Oak Creek Canyon to Flagstaff. From here, you can do a loop, driving through Williams or up Highway 180 past the often snowcapped Humphreys Peak, to the Grand Canyon.

Spend the day seeing the sights along the rim of the canyon or take a scenic flight over and into the canyon. To complete the loop, follow the Rim Road east along Highway 64 to Cameron and return via Highway 89. This will give you the best overall routing and allow you to see some of the fantastic scenery just east of the canyon, including views over the Little Colorado River.

If you would prefer to sit back and enjoy the scenery rather than watching the road while you drive, the Ultimate Grand Canyon Tour from Sedona or Flagstaff offers a great way to see this amazing site. As well as a fabulous drive along the rim of the Grand Canyon, this tour also stops at Wupatki Ruins, Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, and a trading post on a Navajo Reservation.

Tlaquepaque is Sedona’s famous Arts & Crafts Village. Flowering vines cover stucco walls, cobble-stoned walkways lead to bubbling cool fountains, and entryways offer glimpses of beautiful art within. The Village is located on the banks of Oak Creek and shaded by the old sycamore trees.

Enjoy strolling through more than 40 unique shops and colorful galleries where you will see one-of-a kind art pieces in all mediums, from Western bronze sculptures, traditional ceramics, breathtakingly beautiful blown glass, Southwestern fine art paintings, weavings, photographs, decorative arts, fine jewelry, designer silk, and leather wear, among other wares. The Village was envisioned as an art colony, so you still might get a glimpse of a sculptor working with complete focus on his piece of stone or metal.

Does It Snow In Sedona

Many travelling to this beautiful city of red rocks wonder when does it snow in Sedona? The temperatures can certainly get low enough for a dusting of snow here and there, but dont expect heavy snow when visiting Sedona in the winter. On average, Sedona receives about 3.5 inches of snow each year.

However, depending on the weather forecast, you may encounter a bit of snow in the winter months and, especially if youre wandering around in the morning, you will very likely encounter a fair bit of ice, as well.

One thing to keep in mind is that snow in Sedona rarely sticks for long and doesnt tend to pile up, so there arent a lot of considerations that need to be made in that regard. If you want to experience a more snowy climate in Arizona, make sure to head up to Flagstaff, where you will certainly experience a lot of snow.

There is no denying, however, that the red rocks of Sedona look particularly majestic under a dusting of snow.

This is silly and so American but its pretty cool to think there is only one in the world! Im not saying take a picture with it but when you are driving around Sedona definitely keep your eyes open.

Its also something you can tell those people in your family or friends who enjoy interesting dumb facts. Why does the Sedona Mcdonalds have turquoise arches?

When Mcdonalds came to town in 1993, government officials deemed that the golden arches would contrast too much against the beautiful red rock.

Thus, Arizona Mcdonalds was forced to have turquoise arches and is the only place in the world without those golden arches This might be the most Sedona thing ever to change one of the logo of one of biggest corporate brands on earth to match its decor good for you Sedona.
