Niko’s Greek Kitchen Sparks Nevada
Nikos Greek Kitchen was established in the Spanish Springs area of Sparks, Nevada in October of 2015 by the husband-and-wife team of Nikos and Jacqui. The couple opened the restaurant with a desire to offer their customers delicious and authentic Greek-inspired cuisine every day of the week. One thing to note is that the restaurant is small with limited seating, however, the popular opinion is that the food is worth the wait. Sparks Heritage Museum Sparks Nevada
The Sparks Heritage Museum shares the story of how the town of Sparks, Nevada got its start, as well as the rich history of the rest of the state. Visitors can learn more about the Truckee Meadows and Sparks, as well as look at many different artifacts, printed materials, and photographs from several eras of the regions history. The STIHL National Championship Air Races, also known as the Reno Air Races, are a five-decade-old September tradition that takes off from the Reno-Stead Airport just a few miles north of the city. The race features amazing multi-aircraft races over three- to eight-mile courses. Riverwalk And Arts District
The Reno Arts District and the Reno Riverwalk are centrally located on the Truckee River and just steps from Downtown. This area is home to great restaurants and bars, an outdoor beer garden, shopping areas, and a walkway along the Truckee River. The central point of the area is Wingfield Park, which is located on an island in the middle of the river. Various events such as the annual tree lighting and July’s Artown are held here. One of the most famous Reno attractions is undoubtedly the Great Reno Balloon Race, which provides an average of 120,000 spectators with unique and visually stunning entertainment every year.
