Bacall’s Family Steakhouse brings ’40s glamour and big portion Jewish/Romanian fare to Times Square. Newly opened, the menu is inspired by the restaurants muse, starlet Lauren Bacall, and her Jewish-Romanian upbringing in New York City. You’ll find favorite starters like kreplach, chopped chicken liver, latkes, and matzoh balls. Family platters include house-smoked brisket, seared salmon, a Lower East Side veal chop, duck confit, and stuffed trout. You can get a pre-theatre selection of lighter fare or go all out with The Show Stopper or the dry-aged tomahawk for four pictured above. The hallmark of the bar program will be a premier Vodcã Bar. The Vodcã Blast offering will include bottles of top-shelf vodka served tableside encased in an ice block with a choice of mixers or shot glasses. Dani Luv, famed troubadour of the former Sammys Roumanian Steakhouse on the Lower East Side for over 20 years, will now be performing at Bacalls. Look for laughs and sing-a-longs nightly starting at 7pm. The restaurant holds down a roomy space at 220 W. 44th St. and is open Wednesdays to Saturdays 4-11pm and Sundays 4-8:30pm. New World Mall is one of the malls in New York. Its located in Flushing, Queens which caters mostly to the Asian demographic in the area. Inside the New World Mall in Flushing, the mall offers a variety of Asian and non-Asian retail stores. It includes apparel, electronics, accessories, and many other things that tie into the culture.
You can also find high-end jewelry, electronics and an amazing food court that offers an array of Asian cuisines.
Queens Zoo & Aquarium Queens New York
Located on 111th Street within the Flushing Meadows Park, the Queens Zoo is an 18-acre zoo that is part of a system of four zoos and one aquarium. Opened in 1968 on the site of the 1964 New York Worlds Fair, it was designed to be a cageless zoo. Today, the zoo contains more than 75 species of animals native to the Americas.
The zoo offers guided tours and education programs that allow children to learn about animals and how the care they receive. The zoo is available for catered events such as weddings as well as birthday parties in which children can enjoy close encounters with farm animals.

This museum was a 10/10. It had a little bit of everything. Educational, art, musical, theater and a great ride at the end similar to Soarin from Epcot. I will defiantly be going again.
This is a super cool venue. You get to learn about the history of NYC and there are lots of interactive props to take pics with. The best part is the ride at the end. It takes about an hour to go through the entire exhibit but it’s worth every penny.
Great experience. Friendly staff. I enjoyed it as did my mom and my 9 year old daughter – so this is really geared for all ages.
RiseNY is more than just a ride, it is a wonderful experience of walking through history. Great for kids and adults alike, this experience is a nice break from touristy Times Square. Make sure to take your time on the way to the ride at the end.

Manhattan Things To Do This Weekend Nyc
NY Auto Show opened at the Javits Center on Friday, April 15th and runs through Sunday, April 24th. Tickets are $17 adult / $7 child at www.autoshowny.com.
There’s the Easter Bonnet Parade beginning at 10 am on Sunday and winding down by mid afternoon. The parade takes place along 5th Avenue from 49th to 57th Streets. I have heard but not seen for myself, that it’s more of a milling about in bonnets and other Easter outfits, than a real parade.
On Saturday, April 16th from 10 am – 6 pm there’s the 6th Avenue Herald Square Fair along 6th Avenue from 23rd to 32nd Streets in Manhattan.
On Sunday, April 17th from 10 am – 6 pm there’s the Upper West Side Broadway Fair along the East side of Broadway from 96th to 106th Streets on the east side of Broadway.
Ice Theatre Of New York
This troupe’s mission is to advance dance on ice as a performance art. See skating in a whole new way as the ITNY continues fall pop up performances. Neighborhood rink shows take place in the coming weeks, as will lunchtime pop up concerts at The Rink at Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park.

The NYC Hall of Science, or NYSCI, is the only interactive science center in New York City, located within Queen’s Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. The museum is a top attraction for families and for World’s Fair buffs alike, originally opened for the 1964 World’s Fair and still housed within one of the park’s only still-standing structures from the fair. Visitors can explore more than 400 science and technology-themed exhibits, including permanent exhibits such as a technology gallery, a science playground, a STEM-focused library, and an amateur radio station. Free museum admission is offered on Friday afternoons and Sunday mornings, with additional special free hours offered at select times throughout the year. Visitors should note that free museum hours are suspended during some museum special events, including the annual World Maker Faire. Some attractions, including the museum’s miniature golf course and 3D Theater, require a ticketed upcharge even during free admission hours.

Getting To Queens Nyc
There are numerous ways to get to this huge borough. The NW lines take you to Astoria while the 7 train can take you all the way to Flushing. Additionally, the FM R and A trains run through the borough as well. Certain trains will take to you different parts of NYC neighborhoods. The latter takes you to JFK airport.

Home To The Worlds Fair
There is one part of Queens that contains a good deal of attractions, both active and historic. This is the area known as Flushing Meadows & Corona Park. A space that is easily accessed by taking the number 7 subway or the Long Island Railroad .
Among the items to explore is the grounds of the Worlds Fair. Flushing Meadows had the honor of hosting both the 1939 and 1964 events. What remains of the latter are the 12-story Unisphere and the New York State Pavilion with its three-tier observation tower.

Flushing Meadows is the fourth largest public park in New York City. Flushing Meadows Corona Park
Flushing Meadows Corona Park took center stage during the 1964 World’s Fair. The largest park in Queens features several top attractions and cultural institutions in the borough, including the Queens Botanical Garden, New York Hall of Science, Queens Museum, Queens Theater, and Citi Field.
Also here are large open spaces a zoo and recreational activities like boating, biking, and hiking. It also plays host to the U.S. Open Grand Slam tennis tournament at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
The park’s main attraction – the iconic Unisphere – a 140-feet-high steel representation of our planet, popularized by the 1997 film, Men in Black, remains a central place for pictures, along with the Observation Towers of the New York State Pavilion, also built for the World’s Fair.
