The Beaches Of Point Pleasant And Point Pleasant Beach

The boroughs are bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on the East and the Manasquan River to the north and northwest. The ocean beaches are found in Point Pleasant Beach and the two beaches along the Manasquan River are maintained by the the borough of Point Pleasant. Just a few of the more common sense rules about the beaches – no glass containers, no pets, no alcohol and the lifeguards have the final say over what you can and cannot do: where you can and cannot swim, if you can do things like play football or frisbee and more. Some of the beaches do allow food, others do not. You can find a link to the rules of the beach at the end of each of the descriptions that follow .
Beach Parking – Ha! Good Luck! Well I am only half kidding. There are simply no easy choices for parking at the beach. There are metered spots, pay-to-park lots and away from the beach you can find free parking places. The parking game therefore becomes one of how much you are willing to pay to park close to the beach. Rates vary between two and two and a half dollars an hour in town metered spots. There are a few privately run lots taht charge varying prices. During a busy weekend in the summer you will have fewer options, as many parking places near the beach are filled. Sometimes you just have to get there early – even if you are willing to pay!

Get The Best Views Of The Nyc Skyline At Liberty State Park
For the best views of New Yorks skyline, visit Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey. The 1212-acre site is home to a number of attractions, including a two-mile waterfront promenade, a historic train terminal, a nature reserve and the Liberty Science Center.
But the park is perhaps best known as a ferry departure point for the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, both of which are technically in Jersey waters. So can New Jersey claim the historic landmarks as their own? Well, not quite.
Liberty Island, home to the green lady, is an enclave of New York State, as is the part of Ellis Island that houses the main museum dedicated to immigration. But the other side of Ellis Island the side with the abandoned hospital filled with installations by street artist JR is actually still part of New Jersey.
This dark, mysterious part of the island is generally closed to the public, but special hard-hat tours are available through Save Ellis Island throughout the year, and theyre a great way to experience an entirely different part of Ellis Island.
