Take A Stroll Along Milwaukee’s Lovely Lakefront
Milwaukee’s Lakefront area is one of the prettiest downtown areas of any American city. Whether your interest is shopping in boutique stores and galleries, dining al fresco on the shores of Lake Michigan, or simply exploring the city’s many pleasant walking trails , parks , and attractions, visiting here is time well spent.
One of the most prominent landmarks to be in icluded on your waterfront stroll should be the War Memorial Center, which commemorates the dead of WWII and the Korean War. A newer landmark is the Milwaukee Art Museum, a striking building with collections that include American and European works from the 19th and 20th centuries. And as you walk around the shoreline to Discovery World, you’ll also see the Denis Sullivan, a 137-foot replica of the tall ships once so common here.
Also of note are the Municipal Pier and the Henry Maier Festival Park, where the famous Summerfest is held. And just a short walk away from the lakefront and well worth visiting, the Historic Third Ward is one of the city’s most vibrant creative hubs. Here, you’ll find numerous old renovated warehouses with great art galleries and studios, along with fun boutique shops and craft stores, and great restaurants. There is also a regular indoor market selling fresh produce.

Located in the ex-Wisconsin Power & Light building, Geneva Lake Museum houses a huge collection of artifacts related to the local community.
Visit the museums re-construction high street and see how the shops and homes of yesteryear might have looked.
Follow the history of the town and discover its original inhabitants, the Potawatomi Indians.
Take a guided tour with a knowledgeable local to really dig deep into the history of Geneva Lake.

Fests of every stripe vintage motorcycles to the air and water show.

Cathedral Square Park
For four days, Cathedral Square Park looks a little like Paris, complete with French food, music and a 43-foot Eiffel Tower. Thousands of people take to the streets for the Storm the Bastille run, which happens on the evening of July 13.
This country music festival in downtown Cudahy with headliners Granger Smith and Parmalee promises to be a rip-roaring good time.
Downtown Port Washington
Not only is it the worlds largest one-day outdoor fish fry, this festival on Port Washingtons lakefront also offers live music, arts and crafts, a carnival, a classic car show and fireworks.
King Drive to 7th Street on Garfield Avenue
The family-friendly festival, in business for two decades, features four stages of live music and more than 100 vendors selling food and art.

Historic Third Ward Milwaukee Wisconsin
The Historic Third Ward is located south of downtown Milwaukee and is one of the top Milwaukee attractions. Originally a busy and rough warehouse district known as the location of frequent brawls, it used to be called Bloody Ward. Today it is the trendy Milwaukee’s Arts and Fashion District, with a number of popular restaurants, theaters, spas, galleries, and boutiques.

Day Trip To Old World Wisconsin
In Eagle, an easy 45-minute drive west of Milwaukee, you’ll find the Old World Wisconsin open-air museum. Ride The Ferris Wheel At Wisconsin State Fair Park
Constructed as a permanent site for the long-running Wisconsin State Fair, the park is open all year round. It hosts many of the citys shows and events including agricultural shows, sports and entertainment.
The Wisconsin State Fair takes place in August and has been running for over 170 years. The show has so much going on with over 30 stages for music and performances, food and drinks vendors as well as shopping marketplaces and rides and attractions.
