Instead of gathering to watch the parade go by this year, attendees will drive the route themselves, and the floats will be stationed beside the road. Generac Military Appreciation Day At Summerfest
Friday, July 1 3:00 pm
The Military Appreciation Ceremony, produced in partnership with the War Memorial Center, will take place on July 1, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the Generac Power Stage. It will feature a presentation of colors, vocal performances, and speaker Keni Thomas, Staff Sergeant in the Army and recipient of the bronze star for valor, and award-winning country music artist and songwriter. Thomas was recognized for being part of an elite special operations package, Task Force Ranger, that was later recounted in the book and move Black Hawk Down. After the ceremony, enjoy a special performance from Keni Thomas.
Monona Community Festival Monona Wi
Head over to the Monona Community Festival happening July 3 and 4. Washington Park History Hike
Washington Park, 1859 N. 40th St., is one of Milwaukee’s most storied parks. The Urban Ecology Center is hosting a walk through the park in search of those stories in a Natural and Human History Hike at 9 a.m. July 3, starting at the center’s branch in the park. Village Of Greendale Fireworks
This year, the location of Greendales fireworks show is a secret. The Village will announce the location on Facebook at 8:30 p.m., about an hour before the show begins. The site will remain closed to the public people are encouraged to watch from their homes to maintain social distancing.

The Summerfest Landing With All Blue Planet In Partnership With Freedom Boat Club
Everyday of Summerfest noon to 6:00 p.m.
Join All Blue Planet, Freedom Boat Club and partners to learn about great ways to connect with the water. From 12:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day, visitors will have the opportunity to join the movement and commit to making water a bigger part of their lives and turn that commitment into action by participating in the following activities:
Special daily programming includes a free acoustic concert with country music star, Rodney Atkins, on Thursday, June 23 at 5:45 p.m. on a Lowe boat on the water, playing for everyone on the shore.
Other programming at the Summerfest Landing includes:

Year after year, the Eagle River Fourth of July parade grows a little bit larger. This year, there will be 80 different floats entered for their parade on Wall Street. West Allis 4th Of July Parade
This years parade is still on, but itll look a bit different than usual. The route is shortened, and the parade will only feature motorized vehicles instead of floats and people on foot. It begins at 6 p.m. at South 77th Street and West Greenfield Avenue the full route is available on the West Allis website. Admission is free, and social distancing is encouraged, so dont forget a mask.
