Mash Monkeys Brewing Co
Last year, Mash Monkeys Brewing Co. in Sebastian brewed eight special German beers, but drinking inside the taproom was limited, said co-owner Derek Gerry. The brewery sold four-packs to go and had a food truck in the parking lot.
This year, Mash Monkeys has nearly doubled its traditional brews with 15 beers on tap for Oktoberfest. Inside, there will be fewer chairs at the bar and tables more spread throughout the taproom. Outside, tents will be set up with tables and chairs, and there will be a jockey box with the most popular four beers.
The brewery still is going to have four-packs to go and a food truck.
The timeframe leaves plenty of time for people to come and enjoy, Gerry said. I know outside is hot, but to keep the crowds lower and not crowding to get a beer, we have to do the outside thing.

Indiantown: Where Cowboys Were Born
Indiantown Rodeo. We were so so so lucky to be visiting during the annual Indiantown Rodeo, in its 70th year. This is one of the most prominent rodeos in the United States, and if you can time your visit to overlap it, I highly recommend doing so!
We watched bronco riding, steer wrestling, roping and barrel racingbut the bull riding was by far our favorite! My littlest guy just melted my heart because of how intently he watched each event. The entire program is VERY family-friendly. In fact, during half-time intermission, they invite all the kids to the center of the area for a Find Your Shoe race and contest!
Tickets are pretty affordable, but if you are able to splurge, I highly recommend it! This is an historic event that only happens once a year.
VIP tickets grant you reserved seating near the horse gates, as well as conditioned restrooms and what they called light refreshments. For us that meant an entire HUGE barbecue dinner from Sonnys!
We also loved going a little early and checking out the vendors Western jewelry makers, cowboy hats, kettle corn, corn hole and so much more!
While Florida might not be top-of-mind for rodeo action, dont forget that this was the first place in the new world where horses and cattle landed more than four centuries ago. Rodeos, cowboys and roundups are as natural to Florida as to the wild west.

Williamston Ranks 7th In The State For Best Places To Retire
The Martin County Seat, Williamston, made the news recently when a study by SmartAsset placed it in the Top Ten Best Cities to Retire in North Carolina. Williamston is the only city in Eastern N.C. to make the list.
There are 122 cities in North Carolina with at least 5,000 residents. Of those cities, the SmartAsset calculator ranks Williamston at No. 7. Local tax rates, access to health care, social opportunities, and the percentage of Seniors in the population were the contributing factors of this study.
Williamston performed well in all of these categories, its strongest asset is the number of Doctors offices per 1,000 people.
At this point, it would do Williamston a disservice to omit the assets locals hold dear. After all, there was no fishing category mentioned in this study. Yet, fishing is one of the most popular retirement activities. So, if youre looking for a city for those sweet golden years and you love to fish and tell tall tales about fishing, Williamston on the Roanoke River could be the perfect place for you.
While were listing quality-of-life assets, Williamston is also a great place for enthusiasts who love kayaking, golfing, equestrian shows, and live music . Williamston also is home to two nationally recognized unique dining experiences: Sunny Side Oyster Bar and Deadwood.
For the full list of all ten cities, visit the SmartAsset website.
