The Found Footage Festival a touring event goes a step further: They sort through old VHS tapes purchased at thrift stores and estate sales, finding the gems that got lost to time. At the show, Found Footage hosts Nick Prueher and Joe Pickett present their latest finds, which include an exercise video called Skiercise, a local news story about Pudgie Wudgie the Wonder Cat and unearthed footage from the 1987 Miss Junior America Wisconsin pageant. Pickett and Prueher, whose credits include The Onion and The Colbert Report, will walk the audience through the stories of the new videos, and provide updates on the people in them.

The Big Four Bridge Louisville Kentucky
The Big Four Bridge is a former railroad truss bridge that spans the Ohio River, connecting Louisville with Jeffersonville in Indiana. Constructed in 1895, the six-span bridge spans a length of 2,525 feet and is 547 feet and was converted into a pedestrian and bicycle bridge in 1969, earning it the nickname of the Bridge That Goes Nowhere.
Access to the bridge is limited to pedestrian and bicycle use, offering people from Louisville, Jeffersonville, New Albany, and Clarksville a scenic and safe way to travel between the cities.
There are urban green spaces on either end of the bridge, featuring lawns, fountains, pavilions, and a childrens playground where people can relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Hop on the back to school train and learn yourself something new at one of Louisvilles premiere cultural institutions. History buffs make a beeline to the Frazier History Museum on Museum Row and the genre-defying Roots 101 African American Museum, architecture enthusiasts gravitate toward pristine estates like the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum in Old Louisville, the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory and the Muhammad Ali Center knock it out of the park for sports fans, and science geeks need look no further than the colossal Kentucky Science Center downtown. Muhammed Ali Center

Louisville has lots of museums to choose from. This was my first visit to the Muhammad Ali Center even though Ive visited Louisville several times.
On previous trips to Louisville, I visited the Kentucky Derby Museum, Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory Tour, and the Frazier History Museum.
Located a short walk from the 21C Hotel, the Muhammad Ali Center shares more about the life and philanthropy of Muhammed Ali.
I recommend starting your experience with the If you can dream movie on the top floor and then working your way back down to the main floor.
You will learn more about his early life, obstacles, and adversity that he had to overcome including racism, his boxing journey, activism, and his philanthropy.
The museum has lots of photographs and video clips from his fights that you can watch and you dont have to be a big fan of boxing to appreciate this museum.
The museum focuses on six core principles of Muhammed Alis life. As you go through the museum you will see a focus on those principles through interactive exhibits.
Kids and adults will love the interactive area of the museum where you can shadow box the Champ, step in the ring, hit the heavy bag, and learn more about boxing techniques.

The memorabilia from Muhammad Alis life and boxing career are really interesting from boxing trophies to an Olympic Gold Medal.

Artists and crafters include: Frame It, Magpie Vintage Art by Mellisa Noseworthy, Bella Britt Creations, Jolly Good Scents, Bundles of Buttercups, author Jen Selinsky and many more. There will also be a raffle with items donated from area businesses and vendors, hot soups, chili and chicken and dumplings. My favorite place to watch the sunset in Louisville is on the Ohio River. Something about the way the water sparkles and reflects the setting sun while boats drift past is just so, incredibly soul-quenching. Heres where to appreciate those stunning Louisville sunsets right on the river.
- And one of the best spots for river sunset-watching is at Captains Quarters. Order a Hot Brown one of Louisvilles most famous foods and head outside. The giant outdoor patio of this waterfront restaurant is perfect for sunset watching. Note: On weekend evenings during the summer, Captains Quarters does tend to get pretty packed, so arrive early!
- Sunset in Louisville is a nightly event, and folks turn out for it at the Big Four Bridgein Louisvilles downtown Waterfront Park, right on the Ohio River. You and your date wont be alone, but its certainly not packed its just the right kind of atmosphere that makes you think, wow, look how many of us are here just admiring this beautiful sunset tonight! I guess were all in this together. Head to the Big Four Bridge about an hour before the sun actually sets so you have enough time for a nice long walk across the river, into Indiana, maybe down the Greenway a little bit, and then back in time to catch the last rays of pink and orange disappear beyond the horizon.

The Kentucky Bourbon Trail
One of the best day trips from Louisville is to go bourbon tasting on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail! Although there are plenty of distilleries in Louisville, the Kentucky Bourbon Trail is a whole different experience.
As you drive out of Louisville and into the rolling hills of Kentucky horse country, youll see what I mean.
Hands down, our favorite distilleries to visit are Woodford Reserve and Makers Mark: if you have to limit yourself to just one single day trip from Louisville, those are the bourbon distilleries we recommend.
But if you can swing it, give yourself some time to pick up a passport and complete the whole trail! You can book a tour with Louisville-based Mint Julep Tours who will take care of the planning for you.

C Hotel In Louisville
During our visit, we stayed at the 21c Hotel. The boutique hotel is a fusion of hotel + art museum.
Art is everywhere in the hotel. Youll notice the red penguins on the building outside, art in the lobby, the museum, each floor across from the elevator, and in your room.
21c offers valet parking or you can park at the same garage where your valeted vehicle would be parked for a fraction of the cost depending on your preference.
Get Your Tailgate On Near Cardinal Stadium
College football season is back in action, which means tailgating has once again taken over your Saturdays from now until that very last kick-off. And after a shaky 2020, UofL is granting us a brand new place to party by way of The Alley, a giant public courtyard on the corner of Boxley and South Floyd. Take A Distillery Tour In Downtown Louisville

Located in the Nulu District in downtown Louisville, Rabbit Hole Distillery was designed with the visitor experience in mind.
The building design was intentional in details that create a great guest tour experience that also doesnt disrupt production.
Our distillery tour with Josh was off to a good start with an intro and bourbon tasting.
Theres No Going Back Youll notice that sentence boldly stated on the walls as you begin your distillery tour.
A reminder that the founders are all in and giving it all theyve got to make it work. and it has worked very well with a range of award-winning spirits.
The distillery was founded in 2012 and opened to the public in August of 2018.
The tour walks you through the bourbon-making process from grain to glass with viewing windows and even sections of the floor that allow you to learn more about the production process.
During your tour, you will walk by the fermentation tanks and even have the opportunity to taste a sample of the mash.
The ceiling architecture is also worth noting with a cool design that also helps with ventilation.
Rabbit Hole Distillery has the most bourbon per sq ft of any distillery. As a smaller distillery, they really maximize their space.
Gaze At Old Louisvilles Historic Homes
Louisville is home to one of Americas largest collections of Victorian homes. The neighborhood, established in the late 1800s, remains a vibrant residential setting, and its worth a couple of hours to simply walk around and admire the architecture, saying things like “Are you sure this isn’t Gothic Revivalist?” Stroll down the pedestrian-only side streets and stop by the Old Louisville Information Center to secure a guided walking tour , if you’re into that. When youre done, walk a few blocks more to Old Louisville Brewery for a well-deserved beer.

Whitehall House & Gardens is one of the most impressive things to see when youre in Louisville.
Since it was first constructed, around 1855, its become a Louisville, Kentucky landmark.
Through its owners and different styles, it remains a quintessential part of the city.
Originally built with an Italianate design, Whitehall House now has a Greek Revival feel, albeit one meshed with a southern aesthetic.
Things that can be observed here include a striking portico and a slim staircase.
Dont neglect the gardens, which include an arboretum.
Whitehall House & Gardens is a combination that should definitely be seen when youre in Louisville.
The mansion can be toured from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Admission is $5 for all guests ages six and up.

Kentucky Science Center Louisville Kentucky
Located on West Main Street on Louisvilles Museum Row in the West Main District of downtown, the Kentucky Science Center is the largest hands-on science museum in the state of Kentucky.
Founded in 1871, the center was formerly known as the Louisville Museum of Natural History & Sciences and then as the Louisville Science Center. The center is made up of two adjacent buildings. If you are looking for fun things to do in Louisville, Kentucky with kids, the Kentucky Science Center is a great place to visit.
The 150,000 square foot main building was built in 1878 as a dry goods warehouse. The second building, the 37,000 square foot Alexander Building, was built in 1880. Today, the center features a four story digital theater, a Science Education Wing with hands-on workshop labs, and three floors of interactive exhibits.
