There are several mega fireworks displays happening near Houston, including those at CityCentre, in Galveston, and beyond, but there are also more low-key Fourth of July celebrations that might be better for the younger kids. Either way, it appears clear that Bayou City is ready to indulge in a little Independence Day celebrating in 2022. This Sunday, Railway Heights Market is throwing a Fourth of July food festival and celebration. Food-wise, the event is set to feature BBQ, hot dogs, a whole roasted pig, and seafood boil. The celebration, beginning at 5 pm, will also feature live music, pop-up vendors, as well as activities for the children.

Freedom Over Texas July 4th Event in Houston
With an average turnout of 50,000 people and live Houston television coverage, this event has established itself as Houstons yearly distinctive July 4th celebration. Freedom Over Texas will be held in person this year along Allen Parkway for six hours of festivities, customs, and live music venues. It will include performances by local, regional, and international artists, and it will be topped off by a musically orchestrated fireworks finale that is Texas-sized.
The music lineup includes Step Rideau and the Zydeco Outlaws, Walker County, a country sister duo, and rapper Blanco Brown, country music band Sawyer Brown followed by headliner Clay Walker!!!
In addition to the great music, there will be lots of fun for everyone to look forward to including a Kids Zone, and the Dr. Pepper Cool Zone, featuring Houston professional sports teams, live music, and food.
