Stroll Hanovers Main Street
Main Street makes a delightful stroll. Begin by stopping in for coffee at the lively Dirt Cowboy Cafe right at the beginning of Main Street. There are dozens of house roasted coffees to choose from.
For lunch, youve got plenty of tasty options from classic American to various kinds of ethnic cuisine. If you like spicy food, try Base Camp Cafe. Mollys Balloon or Murphys on the Green serves up American food in a relaxed setting. No trip to Dartmouth would be complete without a stop at Morano Gelato.
Main Street is also home to independent small stores, with a few chains like North Face. For clothing, I like Julianas. For Dartmouth gear, pop into the Dartmouth Co-op or Dartmouth Bookstore. For artisan goods, check out Farmhouse Pottery. Theres a funky old movie theater if you need some entertainment, Nugget Theaters.
For bookworms, another great destination in Hanover is Left Bank Books. Its a cozy shop with a curated collection of used books right above Dirt Cowboy Cafe.
Left Bank Books Is A Bibliophiles Dream
A stroll through a great bookstore is a rare event and one that should be thoroughly savored. Step up to Left Bank Books and browse their out-of-print, used, and rare books. Run your fingers over the well-loved volumes for a sense of the promise of pages unturned. Stop in for a literary trip down memory lane and pick up that book you have always wanted to read.
Red Rolfe Field At Biondi Park
Located on the campus of Dartmouth College, the Red Rolfe Field at Biondi Park is the home field of the Big Green baseball team of Dartmouth College, which is a team in the countys NCAA Division I Ivy League. The Red Rolfe Field stadium is able to hold around two thousand spectators for baseball games and the field is named after Red Rolfe, former player for the New York Yankees, Dartmouth Class of 1931, and the athletic director at Dartmouth from 1954 until 1967. The Red Rolfe Field at Biondi Park was ranked by Eric Sorenson as Division I baseballs third best small venue.

Path Of Life Sculpture Garden

Before or after a brief shopping spree, stroll along the Path of Life Sculpture Garden to soak up some of the largest pieces of art in Vermont. As with any art collective, the Path of Life is still expanding. Yes, the art is quite beautiful and thought-provoking, but the sheer beauty of the landscape is the main attraction for manyand dont forget to snap photos of the vibrant fall colors. The hemlock maze, much like the one seen in Stanley Kubricks The Shining, is an absolute marvel.
