Easton, Pennsylvania, is a city thats very close to my heart, since I grew up just a few minutes away in New Jersey. Earlier this fall, Easton native Brianna of Casual Travelist and I spent a busy weekend there together as tourists. Based on that visit, as well as other visits Ive made throughout the past year, here are my recommendations for the best things to do in Easton including my favorite restaurants, bars, attractions, and more.

Like most people who grew up in a small town, I couldnt wait to leave once I was old enough to make that decision for myself. I went to college about three hours north in Syracuse, New York and have spent my adult life living in Colorado, D.C. and Massachusetts.

Much to my delight, in the time that Ive been away, a neighboring city has become dare I say cool. Like really, really cool. That city would be Easton, Pennsylvania, which sits on the opposite side of the Delaware River from Phillipsburg, New Jersey, where I went to high school .

Karl Stirner Arts Trail

The Karl Stirner Arts Trail is one of the top places to visit in Easton. It was opened in 2012 to showcase great artworks.

They showcase important artworks that send a great message to the visitors and make them reflect on their thoughts and the message being passed to them.

Karl Stirner Arts Trail was named after a local sculptor In Easton who spent his entire life educating young artists.

Karl Stirner Arts Trail is also a great center for biking, running, and fishing. They have shaded walks for walking. You may also decide to wander around or sit out and enjoy its beautiful natural environment.

Karl Stirner Arts Trail is the best place to visit with your family and friends, and it is perfect both for adults and kids as well.

The home of the Two Rivers Brewing Company has a rich history since its building in 1850. For a time, it was believed to be used as a brothel during WWII! Today, the main floor bar room looks much like it did originally. Only minor repairs and painting have been done to the area, and the original 1929 Zenith Radio Bar still serves as the bar. More than just a bar, the Two Rivers Brewing Company lives up to its name, brewing specialty ales. The bar also serves food for brunch, lunch, and dinner, with kids options available.
