Corydon is a town in Harrison Township, Harrison County, Indiana. Located north of the Ohio River in the extreme southern part of the U.S. state of Indiana, it is the seat of government for Harrison County. Been following the exploits of prolific John Hunt Morgan for years. The Battle of Corydon was one of a handful of recognized Civil War battles in the North, so this memorial should be preserved and not sanitized by the PC crowd. Thankfully, The original state capital building nearby has been preserved and it gives some more historical context as it how close the Confederacy came into the North’s backyard looking for Copperhead anti-war sympathizers and looting.
