I started skiing here in 1969. From the tow ropes, to the T-bars to the chair-lifts it is always fun and entertaining. My kids grew up at this place. Mrs.B. kept us in line and my mom would sure back her! If you don’t feel like skiing or tubing, you can sit at the bar and watch while ordering a bite to eat. As I said, we are lucky to have a place like this in our beautiful winter wonderland.

About Eight Point Lake In Clare Michigan

For decades, Eight Point Lake was a private lake that only residents who owned property on the lakeshore were able to use. However, the state of Michigan purchased the lake in 2008, and by 2009, a public boat launch was installed that opened the lake to everyone. This means that summer weekends are busier than they used to be and that boat traffic has increased, but its still a relatively peaceful lake.

A charter member of the Michigan United Conservation Club, this group was established in 1937.
The clubs facilities are located at 10844 South Eberhart Road across from the Clare City Airport.Every Sunday, starting from 1:00 p.m., the gun club opens its trap shooting event to the public.

The city of Clare boasts a 13.2-acre sports park in its Stamina Stadium located at 820 Schoolcrest Avenue.
This facility features four fenced softball/baseball diamonds with bleachers, offering the chance to watch local teams at play or in practice.
Other facilities in the Stamina Stadium include a T-ball field, batting cages, a pavilion, swings, slide, a Jungle Gym, concession stand and restroom.
Adjacent to the Stadium, you can also access the half-mile McIreland Nature Trail with benches along the way for wildlife observation opportunities.
This trail runs from the Stadiums south side and across the Little Tobacco Drain for its terminus at Eastwood Drive.

Clare Michigan – Doughnut Shop for Cops
What began as a crazy idea among police friends is quickly becoming an international phenomenon. There is a doughnut shop and bakery in Clare, Michigan that has been in constant operation since 1896. This foundation business was within weeks of closing when the members of the Clare Police Department came to the rescue. All of them. Thats right, all nine members of the local police department banded together to save this historic business. Dubbed Cops and Doughnuts, the business boasts handmade confections of all types. Join us for a warm fresh doughnut and a steaming cup of coffee while you enjoy the police decor and friendly, and very safe, atmosphere. Come and see the new store in Clare that everyone is talking about.
The newly renamed bakery opened Wednesday, offering doughnuts, cookies, muffins, brownies and bread. It also has mugs and T-shirts bearing the Cops & Doughnuts, 100 Percent Cop-Owned logo, and phrases including You Have the Right to Remain Glazed and Handcuffs and Cream Puffs.
Officer Al White says the officers were concerned when the Clare City Bakerys owners decided to throw in the towel. The 113-year-old bakery would have become the sixth empty storefront in Clares three-block downtown.

One of the prime attractions of this village is the Rosebush Farm Market that specializes in fresh produce.

A lot of pantry staples are available at the Rosebush Farm Market, including cabbage, lettuce, onions, peaches, melons, bananas, and various varieties of apples.

Explore The Pere Marquette Rail
The Pere Marquette State Trail is a multi-use trail running for 55 miles from lower Michigan to the city of Clare.
If you are a well-trained biker or runner, you can explore interesting destinations in Clare and those in Lake and Osceola counties.
You will pass through paved areas along the trail as well as cinder or ballast surface in some parts.
Take the westward trek of this trail, and you will pass through the towns of Loomis, Sanford, and Coleman before finally winding up south in Midland.
Along the way, you also have the opportunity for a detour to the 28.7-mile White Pine Trail for points of interest in Reed City.
Have A Ramble Around Beautiful Killaloe
Set on the banks of the River Shannon in County Clare, Killaloe is a beautiful waterside village thats well worth having a ramble around.
