The Canton Classic Car Museum is dedicated to exhibiting rare and unusual classic and vintage automobiles. Established by Marshall Belden, Sr. in 1978, the museum features over 40 beautifully preserved classic cars, including a 1901 curved-dash Oldsmobile, a 1911 Model T Ford, a 1966 Ford Mustang, and 1970 Plymouth Super Bird. The William McKinley Presidential Library and Museum is the presidential library of the 25th President of the United States, William McKinley. Owned and operated by the Stark County Historical Society, the library and museum chronicles the life and career of William McKinley and how he built his career as a lawyer and prosecuting attorney and later as a congressman, governor, and then the president of the country. The museum is home to the most significant collection of McKinley artifacts in the world and has a modern science center with fossils and wildlife as well as a planetarium show. Next we tried a beer sampling of Cascade Beer that the founding fathers were drinking when they formed the NFL at Canton Brewing Co.

The head office, classroom, hangar, and parachute-rigging loft are located next to the large open drop zone at Barber Airport, and free camping is provided near the drop zone for those guests not wanting to stay in a hotel, of which there plenty nearby.

Taste The Best In The City With Canton Food Tours
Our first adventure in Canton was the Hall of Fame City food tour.
Food tours are one of my favorite ways to discover a city because you learn so much about the history and local cuisine.
Normally food tours are typically only offered in larger cities which makes Canton Food Tours even more impressive. Their food tours focus on local businesses that provide local, seasonal food.
Our walking food tour lasted around 3 hours and visited 4-5 restaurants and points of interest along the way.
At each of our restaurant stops, we received a Chefs Choice small plate entree.
Come hungry because you will be full by the end of the tour. You even get to satisfy your sweet tooth with dessert.
Founded in 1805, Canton was also part of the 1st Coast to Coast Highway.
If you turn right on the Lincoln Highway you will end up in at Times Square in New York. And if you continue left, you would end up in San Francisco, California.
Our first restaurant stop was Benders Tavern, a 4th generation family-owned and operated business. Benders Tavern is known for its seafood that comes from Foleys in Boston.
They served us Saffron leek risotto with scallops and turtle soup to try.
With a history that dates back to the early 1900s, the signs on the building outside indicate a different day when men and women had separate entrances. Check out the neon Good Food sign above the entrance.
Women could be shielded from the mens drinking by entering through the door to the dining room.

The St. Lawrence River is renowned for many things, but our fan-favorite claim to fame is definitely our world famous fishing! From summertime angling to winter ice fishing, you can go for flick year-round. You can also fish a huge range of lakes, ponds and streams throughout St. Lawrence County. Plus, enjoy all of the boating & recreation that comes with being on the water.
In addition to the St. Lawrence River with its many water-based attractions, the shore fronts main attractions include five State Parks strung along the Seaway Trail, The Frederic Remington Art Museum in Ogdensburg, Singer Castle on Dark Island, Eisenhower Lock, the New York Power Authoritys Hawkins Point Visitor Center and the Nicandri Nature Center in Massena. Several municipal parks and boat launches complement these attractions along what is known as the United States Fourth Coast.

Relax At A Winery With A View At Gervasi Vineyard
Gervasi Vineyard is located 15 minutes from downtown Canton and offers a few different restaurants onsite for guests to choose from.
Gervasis Italian Bistro is the perfect destination for a wine tasting and romantic dinner with a loved one.
But since this was a girlfriend getaway, we opted for a casual dinner on the balcony of the second floor at The Crush House with beautiful views of the vineyard.
For dinner, I selected the Housemade Goat Cheese Ravioli made with goat cheese filling, eggplant meatball, spinach, cherry tomatoes, marinara.
Terri ordered the Vegetariano Piada made with eggplant meatballs, arugula, fresh mozzarella, spicy marinara, and a side salad.
Of course, we had to try the wine too and Im hungry again just talking about the food.
