Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre
Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre is the premiere cultural museum of the Squamish and Lil’wat Nations indigenous groups, established in 2001 as part of an historic Protocol Agreement with the Resort Municipality of Whistler, British Columbia. Today, the world-class cultural center showcases the history, art, and culture of both nations, striving to inspire cultural respect and understanding across all of Canada’s cultural groups. Permanent and temporary exhibitions highlight the cultural traditions and practices of both groups from ancient times through the present day. Guided tours are offered on the hour by cultural ambassadors, guiding participants through a short film screening, exhibit tours, and a group craft activity. First Nations delicacies are served up at the Thunderbird Cafe daily, while handcrafted artworks by Native artists are sold at the museum’s gallery and gift shop.

COVID-19 Update
En español | Be sure to stay on top of the latest pandemic-related restrictions in Canada. The country opened its borders on Aug. 9, though U.S. visitors coming by land or air will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination, uploaded using the ArriveCAN app or web portal, to avoid a two-week quarantine upon arrival. All travelers will still require a pre-entry negative COVID-19 molecular test result. In order to return to the U.S. by air, youll be required to have a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 in the past three months before boarding your flight. Ontario currently has capacity restrictions on restaurants, boat tours and other tourist attractions.
As you observe the sheer volume of frothing white water cascading over Horseshoe Falls in Niagara Falls, Ontario, its stunning to think that some have forgone the viewing platform to experience the thundering wonder from inside a barrel plummeting over the brink.
The falls famous history as a magnet for daredevils including successful barrel rider Annie Taylor, who crashed and bobbed her way to fame in 1901 has drawn tourists and honeymooners to the edge for more than 150 years. Niagara Falls is also indescribably beautiful, with three waterfalls joining to create a constant mist. It often reflects a rainbow, arching like an ethereal bridge between the United States and Canada.

Banff To Vancouver Via The Trans
While the Trans-Canada Highway can take you across the entire country, the most beautiful part, in our opinion, is from Calgary to Vancouver. After just an hour so, youll arrive in Banff with nothing but gorgeous scenery for the remainder of the drive. This 900-kilometre slice of the Trans-Canada takes you through Banff National Park, Yoho National Park, Mount Revelstoke National Park, Glacier National Park of Canada, and finally into Vancouver, which is nestled next to the Pacific Ocean. While this drive can be done in one very long 12-hour day, youll obviously want to take as long as possible to make use of the incredible national parks youll be driving through. Theres also a number of side trips you could take, such as highway 93 down into Radium Hot Springs, and Highway 97, which will take you down to Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley.
Best time to go: This largely depends on what you aim to do. The safest time to go is during the warmer months when the highways are clear. However, if youre into skiing, this is one of the best places in the world to shred powder, which is typically best between January and March.

Road Trip Canada Canadas Trans
The Trans-Canada Highway is the most epic and incredibly long road trip you can take in Canada. It stretches across the country through all 10 provinces. Starting in Victoria, it ends in St. Johns, Newfoundland. Some of the highlights awaiting road-trippers include Vancouver, Banff National Park, the Alberta Badlands, Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City, Montreal, Fundy National Park, and Gros Morne National Park, just to name a few. In fact, there are far too many highlights to include here. Just make sure you have a lot of time. Stopping only to sleep, this trip will take approximately 7 days. Personally, Id want at least one month to do the whole journey from coast to coast. Add in an additional 2-4 weeks if you plan on going North to the Yukon and the Northwest Territories.
Best time to go: April to October for optimal weather coast to coast. However, some parts of Canada still get snowstorms up until May.
We hope you enjoyed this list of incredible Canada road trips. If you have any others that youve done and recommend, please let us know in the comments below.

As of now, Spray Lakes remains our favourite camping spot in the province. Its a 30-minute drive from Canmore up into the mountains and is an extremely scenic place to go camping in Alberta. However, it cant be booked in advance so its a bit of a game of luck to find a spot. Weekends are often full, so make sure you come early or come during the week.
