Where To Eat In Buffalo
Anchor Bar is the infamous home to the chicken wing, how can you not stop here? Stick with the classic Buffalo or if you HAVE to mix it up, I like mixing Garlic Parmesan and Buffalo. Trust me, I know things. There are a few locations around Buffalo so just find the one closest to you and go.
Dont tell Anchor Bar, but I actually like Duffs wings better.. EEEKS! Duffs is a little less of a restaurant-style that Anchor Bar is and a bit more of a greasy pizza joint, except sub wings for pizza. Again, tons of locations, try them both and let me know!
Left Bank is a modern Bistro in an urban setting, traditional pasta-heavy dishes will leave you stuffed to the brim. Live music can be found some nights, and the setting is perfect for catching up with friends and family.
If you love yourself a good diner, Amys Place will blow your mind! A Lebanese/American, cash-only diner has a home-cooked, comfy interior with kitschy mugs, and food that will blow you away. I love eating at this place for breakfast because they do veggie and vegan-friendly fare which is perfect for my sensitive tummy. Open 7 am to 9 pm, 7 days a week, find a time and go.
Elm Street Bakery
Just go Elm Street Bakery website. Youll understand why this is one of my favorite places in all of Buffalo even though its a bit outside of Buffalo, its well worth the drive.

Big Ditch Brewing Company
Big Ditch Brewing Company is one of my favorite breweries in Buffalo. The name Big Ditch refers to the Erie Canal, back when the locals were skeptical that it would ever be constructed. However, this Big Ditch brought business and prosperity to Buffalo for decades.
I sampled a flight of five beers, including some seasonal ales mixed in with the classics: the Berliner Weisse, Blonde Peach, Cinnamon Apple, FC , and Fresh Baked. My vote for the best beer goes to the Blonde Peach by far, where they use loads of real peaches in the brewing process.

During good weather months, the city organizes one of the most unique things to do in Buffalo . The Slow Roll bike ride is a group ride of literally hundreds of riders, shutting down streets with a police motorcade every Monday night. Although the movement was founded in Detroit, Buffalo is one of the largest worldwide.
The point of these rides is to bring the community together, show off routes through Buffalos many neighborhoods, and then have people stick around to socialize afterward near the ending point.
You can grab a cheap rental through our Reddy Bikeshare and then find the start point to join in. Its free . Its easy enough that pretty much everyone can do it, with most rides about 10 miles long.

Taste Burmese Thai Peruvian Japanese And Ethiopian Food
Yes, you read it right. In Buffalo, you can get a taste of Thai, Burmese, Japanese, Peruvian, and Ethiopian food without having to leave the country. This is because the city participates in a United Nations program wherein they resettle refugees to the United States and thanks to this, a lot of people didnt just get a new home but they also got to share their culture through the foods they sell in the West Side Bazaar, a program that assists entrepreneurial efforts. And trying them out is one of the unique things to do in Buffalo because you wont just get to experience a bit of their culture without spending a lot on your plane ticket but they are delicious too. Some of them also sell condiments. Koops Kitchen, for instance, sells one of the best barbecue sauce you can find.

Experience The Magic And Weirdness Of Dyngus Day
Some say Dyngus Day began in Poland in 1966but given the presence of flamingos, no one is entirely sure how Buffalos annual celebration became what it is today. The main event is a raucous parade during which floats douse onlookers with water and people in the crowd smack each other with pussy willow branches, making for one of the most unusual experiences you’ll ever have. After the parade, everyone heads to the Central Terminal, an abandoned train station, for a beer-soaked, flamingo-decorated, pierogi-fueled party with a polka soundtrack. Youd be hard-pressed to experience anything like it anywhere else.
Hike Behind One Of The Worlds Most Powerful Waterfalls
Speaking of waterfallstheres this sorta-famous one called Niagara Falls, thirty minutes north of the city.
Ill be brutally honest here and admit that Canada has the better view of the falls, but the New York side has something that they dont: Cave of the Winds. And Cave of the Winds is the best way to experience the falls, period .
First, youll take an elevator 175 foot down into the gorge, and then youll walk out to a series of boardwalks and steps leading to up close and personal views of the falls. Its honestly a little weird to be underneath them, looking up! Keep going to Hurricane Deck if you dare youll be right next to the crashing Bridal Veil falls and you will get wet. Really wet.
