For Extra Fun Add An Umbrella

I decided to bring two umbrellas with me as fun photo props.

The first umbrella that I brought had a pattern that didnt show up as well in the pictures. The busy pattern on the umbrella was really distracting.

My second choice was a large multi-colored umbrella that really popped in pictures in comparison. You could also try a solid-colored umbrella instead.

For photos with unique perspectives, experiment with different poses, heights, distances, and angles.

Its a bit of trial and error with poses until you find the best ones. They all feel silly so just have fun with it.

And dont forget to take some pictures looking up!

Also, take notice of the cool shadow patterns on the ground depending on the time of day you visit.

What Is The Umbrella Sky Project

Batesville | Little Indiana | The Weekly Special

Agueda, Portugal was the first location for the Umbrella Sky Project, displaying thousands of suspended umbrellas over narrow streets.

The suspended umbrellas have a dual purpose. For function, they create shade for pedestrians who walk underneath them. For fun, they are beautiful to look at and create a dreamy ambiance.

Many of the previous art installations over the years have been in large European cities. Thankfully, you dont need a passport to enjoy this beautiful art installation in the Midwest.

Eat Breakfast Or Lunch At Big Four Caf

121 S Depot St, Batesville, IN

While youre in the area you might as well enjoy a local restaurant. Big Four Cafe features locally sourced ingredients in made-from-scratch entrees.

If you cant decide between breakfast or lunch, just get one of each and split both of them for the best of both worlds like we did.

The name Big Four Cafe honors the history of the Big Four Tavern and Big Four Railroad that served the four major cities and the cities in between

There are several pieces inside the cafe that are 100+ years old, including the center doors in the cafe that were once the entrance doors to the tavern.

For the breakfast options, we tried theBiscuit and Gravy Benedict. The dish was made with 2 fresh biscuits, topped with tri-tip country fried steak, house sausage gravy, and 2 eggs, any style.

We also ordered the Chicken Bacon Avocado pressed sandwich on ciabatta bread with fries. The sandwich was made with garlic and herb roasted pulled chicken, sliced bacon, avocado, provolone cheese, and buttermilk ranch.

Dont forget the ranch on the side to dip your fries in!

During peak times on the weekends in summer, the tee times can fill up quickly, so if youd rather miss the crowds, consider booking the earliest morning slot or playing on a weekday instead.

This is a review for things to do near Batesville, IN 47006:

“Freudenfest is a fantastic small town festival in Oldenburg, Indiana that offers authentic German food, various German style beers, live entertainment and tons of things to do in this idyllic Hoosier town. I usually go with a group of friends and we spend a good part of the afternoon / evening there. Plenty of spots for shade while you’re waiting for your turn to chicken toss or chicken dance. The Dachshund races are a blast but you gotta get there early to get a good view of really short dogs . Plenty of free street parking. Don’t miss this festival – it’s one of southern Indiana’s best!”
