Its the final weekend of Houston Restaurant Weeks! Try a new restaurant or dine on a deal at an old favorite.
More than 300 of Houston’s top restaurants are providing specially priced, multi-course prix-fixe menus for brunch, lunch or dinner.
During the charitable event that runs through September 5, participating restaurants will make donations to the Houston Food Bank based on their HRW sales.

The organization, whose mission is amplifying womxn and queer voices, is hosting The Texan Feminist Throwdown event this Sunday at Distribution Halla one-night concert benefit and “hoe-down for reproductive rights. The amazing line-up features the musical stylings of Taméca Jones, Selena tribute band Bidi Bidi Banda, drag artist Gothess Jasmine, and DJ Cassandra. Plus, there will also be a roster of inspirational speakers taking the stage, including Norma McCorveythe actual Jane Roe in Roe v Wade.Cost: Tickets are available on a sliding scale, starting at $15.

An Interactive Museum Tour For Theater Fans
Fable & Lark: Storied Adventures, which specializes in interactive museum tours inspired by great stories, is releasing its first post-pandemic tour, Staged: The Museum Tour for People who Love Theater. Staged looks at the development of theater through the lens of artwork in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, from early Greek statues of actors to depictions of stories that inspired Broadway musicals. Interspersed with activities and questions about theater, the tour takes participants across the museum and across cultures to see the ways artists have worked the theme of theater into their creations for thousands of years. Participants should bring their T game, and maybe even be prepared to do a little acting, because, after all, all the worlds a stage. Sundays at 11am.

Its close to two top state parks: Silver Lake State Parks and Ludington State Park, both home to beautiful lighthouses and endless sparkling beaches. Traverse CitySet on gorgeous Grand Traverse Bay, theres no end of things to do here. Whether you visit Front Streets fun shops and cafes, visit the wineries on Old Mission Peninsula, check out some top Traverse City breweries, or just enjoy the gorgeous beaches, youll have a blast. I am planning to visit family in Houston next week and we thought of going to Austin for the Saturday and Sunday of Labour Day weekend. So can anyone give me a list of the MUST do attractions as we only have the 2 days to explore.
What are you interested in seeing or doing? Are you interested in outdoor activities or more museums and indoor activities? Are you looking for eclectic dining options? Want to take in some of the local music scene? Interested in the history of Texas? Shopping in local boutiques? Guided tours? Where are you staying? Will you have a car?
There is a lot of talk here on the forums about things to do in Austin. If we know a little more about what you’re interested in, I’m sure we can help you come up with a two-day itinerary for you that will hit the hot spots, but not send you off to something that you have no interest in.

We will have a few small children with us though so we need to keep them intrested also. Maybe something aimed at chidren would be good. We will have a car. I would also recommend the LBJ Presidential Library and Museum on the University of Texas campus — . There may not be much in the way of interesting things for the kids, but it is a great museum chronicling both Texas and American history.

Northeast of San Antonio is New Braunfels, Texas, which is known for its rivers and massive water park, Schlitterbahn.
