Fernbank Science Center – Visit the observatory and exhibits for free planetarium shows are just a few bucks.
Family Fun at the Woodruff Arts Center – Family-oriented programming led by the Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and High Museum of Art features various free activities beginning at 1 p.m. on the second Sunday of each month. Clyde Shepard Nature Preserve – Its tucked away in the back of a neighborhood in Decatur, and the kids will love it. There are several trails, but they are all only .1 or .2 miles each.

Go For A Drive Around Buckhead
Not going to lie, Buckhead will make you wish you had more money!
Even still, I would recommend going for a drive in Buckhead as it is one of the prettiest neighborhoods in Atlanta with some of the most beautiful and grand houses I have ever seen.
Buckhead is known as the Beverly Hills of the East and if you take a drive through the neighborhood and in particular West Paces Ferry Road NW you will understand why.
Dont miss the beautiful Governors mansion along the road. There are free tours of this mansion every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10 11.30am.
Take A Stroll Down Merry Lane In
AustellOn select dates from November to January, Six Flags Over Georgia is inviting guests to experience the return of Holiday in the Park. Arabia Mountain Heritage Area
If you love the great outdoors, you might like to make a trip to the Arabia Mountain Heritage park.
The area is only a 25 minute drive East of Atlanta is entirely free to visit!
In the heritage park you will find stunning mountain summits, spanning meadows and glassy lakes.
It really is a sight for sore eyes and so close to downtown Atlanta!

The Jimmy Carter Musuem is free for all little ones aged 16 and under. For adults, it is still a cheap activity in Atlanta as it costs only $12 to visit.
If you dont want to pay to go in, feel free to roam around the beautiful gardens for free!
The musuem honours Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States who served from 1977 81. He was particularly popular as he advocated against poverty and against racial segregation.

Atlanta is an amazing city to visit! And the great thing is, there is plenty to do after work or when the sun goes down and its not all just bars and clubs! Shredding Outdoors At Brooke Street Park
Shred415 is a fitness club founded by Chicago fitness experts Bonnie Micheli and Tracy Roemer in 2011. The goal was to create effective workout routines that addressed both cardio and strength training while factoring in participants schedules.
They have now created a concept that allows people at different fitness levels and schedules to come together in a family-like setting and work out.Shredding Outdoors at Brooke Street Park is one such initiative that helps create a community workout atmosphere every Tuesday. Different folks come together for a HIIT workout routine designed for all fitness levels. Entry is free, and you only need to go with your Mat, Water, Friends, and Family.

Kayak In The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area
The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is jam-packed with hiking trails, wildlife, and river routes. Since the river is so long and winding theres a kayaking opportunity to suit all ages and skill levels
Tackle some class 2 or class 3 rapids, or, alternatively, take a calmer route and focus on the beauty and sounds of the surrounding nature.
