Aquatica is adjacent to SeaWorld Orlando, off International Drive. The exact address is 5800 Water Play Way, in Orlando, Florida. From Orlando, take I-4 to Exit 72. From Tampa, take I-4 to Exit 71.
Cons Of Seaworld Orlando
- You cant get away from the huge elephantor should I say orca in the room. The backlash from the documentary Blackfish, has made many question the care of the marine life in SeaWorld.
- More rides and attractions are needed to make it an all-day park.
- The marketing team has not found its voice, so the park is sometimes an afterthought for visitors coming to Orlando.

Whats New At Aquatica Orlando
For the 2021 season, Aquatica debuted Riptide Race. The attraction features side-by-side slides in which two two-person rafts race against one another. The action starts atop a 68-foot slide tower. Aquatica says that the thrill ride incorporates 650 feet of slide and includes tight loops. Riptide Race was supposed to open in 2020, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2019, SeaWorlds water park opened KareKare Curl. It resembles a halfpipe-like ramp familiar to skateboarders. Passengers in two-passenger rafts slide down a tube and soar up a nearly vertical wall where they may experience a brief moment of airtime. They then glide over and down into a straight tube to exit. The whole experience os over in less than 20 seconds.

Fun For Toddlers At Katas Kookaburra Cove
Designed especially for youngsters up to 48 tall, the Katas Kookaburra Cove is a perfect place to hang out while your kids are having the time of their life. Find a couple of Lounge Chairs under an umbrella and camp out while your kids are splashing and playing in an area created just for them.
Wading Area with smaller water slides
The Wading area is surrounded by gentle Zero-Entry making it a safe environment for the smaller kids. Since the water is very shallow, you can relax while your little one is playing at the waters edge. Older toddlers that are up and running will thoroughly enjoy the 2 small water slides. These slides are located just inside the edge of the pool and splashdown into a few inches of water. Watch the kids as they run around this slide and slip down into the water, over and over again. Relax in knowing that the kids are having the time of their life with such a simple water feature.
Larger Water Slides
Older children will head towards the six tube and body water slides where they will enjoy the larger splash into the far edge of the pool. A four track racing water slide is fun while seeing who can get to the bottom first.
Sprinklers and Water Fun
In the center of the pool there are additional features with small Water Pails that fill up and dump on the kids below. Tubes spraying water in multiple directions add to the enjoyment as the young ones run underneath staying cool below.
New Attractions At Aquatica San Antonio
We got to try out the Taumata Racer. This is a high-speed waterslide where riders zoom downhill head first on foam bodysurfing mats. It was new in 2018 and we hadnt been to Aquatica since 2017 so it was fun to see whats new while still enjoying the same beautiful, lush park we remembered.
The Taumata Racer is a competitive ride with six side-by-side lanes. Taumata Racer launches riders in an entry tunnel that makes a swooping, 180-degree turn, then straightens out to make two additional descents over the 375-foot slide length and 55-foot drop in under 10 seconds. Minimum height is 42.
Theres also the new Tonga Twister, which made its debut in Spring 2020. This heart-pounding water slide features fully enclosed aqualucent tubes that deliver an electrifying sight and sound experience, the first of its kind in Texas. Plunge from a height of over 50 feet, then surge around approximately 400 feet of twists and turns that are sure to have you leave you pumped for more! You must be 48 to ride this attraction.
Big Surf Shores is a great way to cool off. Theres a timer displayed to let guests know when the waves will start, so if youre into calmer waters, youll have plenty of time to clear out.

Focus On Health And Safety
The focus on recent months has definitely been on guest safety. Like most theme parks, Aquatica have implemented a reservation system. This helps control the number of people admitted inside Aquatica daily. Everyone must have a reservation, regardless of ticket or pass status.
The good news is that making a reservations is super easy and youll get instant confirmation. Youll need to take the printout with you on the day of your visit and have it ready as you go through the gate to park.
Effective May 15th, people who have received the COVID-19 vaccination are not required to wear face coverings at Aquatica San Antonio. SeaWorld will not ask to see your vaccination card. The employees at SeaWorld and Aquatica will be required to wear masks. Please note these policies are for Aquatica San Antonio only.
San Antonio Kid Friendly Hotels
San Antonio definitely has a plentiful supply of hotels to suit every type of traveller and budget. You can find San Antonio hotels for families in downtown San Antonio, near River Walk, if you really want to be in the heart of things. For example, one of the boutique San Antonio hotels for families, Hotel Havana is full of retro Cuban charm which will enchant the grownups while also providing amenities like cots for kids.
In our opinion though, the best San Antonio hotels for families are located outside of downtown. Although these San Antonio kid friendly hotels are located in Texas Hill Country, these three resorts have plenty to keep families busy and happy.

JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa is conveniently located near the airport and has something for everyone, including a golf course, a spa and a a 6 acre water park. It has won numerous awards from prestigious organisations like USA Today and Conde Nast Traveler.
Another resort located in Texas hill country, La Cantera Resort and Spa is another luxury resort with golf courses, a spa and 5 pools. It won the Readers Choice Award from Conde Nast Traveler for best resort in Texas and the Southwest.

San Antonio Attractions For Kids: Theme Parks
The 200 acre Six Flags Fiesta Texas theme park has rides for all the family from little childrens rides to big thrill rides. And, there are 15+ water rides in the water park area. With all that excitement, Six Flags definitely counts among the most fun things to do in San Antonio with kids.
Alternatively, check out Seaworld and its water park, Aquatica. Enjoy the shows and the animal experiences AND get an adrenaline rush participating in the rides. There are 9 thrill rides and roller coasters at Seaworld with a QuickQueue option that lets you bypass any lines.

Scope Out The Park Map/height Requirements Ahead Of Time
Aquatica has a variety of fun, splashy things to do, from Loggerhead Lane to Walhalla Wave to Walkabout Waters, which is basically the coolest outdoor fun house, ever.
This is a great place for kids of all ages to splash and play. The zero gravity entrance and shallow waters make it accessible for most everyone. P.S. I cant believe Kyle was this little!!!
The minimum height requirements are 36â, 42â and 48â. If your kids are over 48 they can take part in all the attractions at Aquatica. Some of the kiddie attractions have maximum height requirements. There are lots of parks maps and height requirement signs throughout the park for your reference.
On our first visit to Aquatica in 2017, my kids were just a shade under 48â and we enjoyed Hoo Roo Run and Stingray Falls. If your kids are at least 42 theyll be able to enjoy those rides and they provide a little bit of thrill, although not as much as some of the 48 height requirement slides. And, in all honesty, Im good with the 42 thrill level, although its been quite a long time since I was 42.

No matter how tall or how old, do not miss Stingray Falls. , which is a donât miss. Get in line early. No spoilers, but the end of the ride is epic. Also, the wave pool is no joke. If your kids are weak swimmers, make them wear a life vest. There are plenty of those available and theyre sanitized regularly by Aquatica Staff.

Cool Things To Do In San Antonio With Kids
Thanks to a whole host of theme parks and water parks, you may run out of money before you run out of options of San Antonio attractions for kids. Other San Antonio things to do with kids include the San Antonio Zoo, the San Antonio Aquarium and several museums. The one museum that is highly recommended is the San Antonio kids museum, the DoSeum.

My lady and I found the Sea World to be very fun. We found the rides to be exciting and the animals fascinating.

Fun For All Kids At The Walkabout Waters
If you have children older than 5, Walkabout Waters will be the better kids splash park for them. Lounge chairs surround Walkabout Waters with plenty of umbrellas providing shade. Walkabout Waters is great for kids of all ages. It has so much to do and different sections provide water play fun for different age groups.
The entire water play area is accessible through zero-entry access with no drop-offs. For the Toddlers and very young children, you will find four water slides for them to slide, splash, and play. The older kids will be able to climb around on the large water playground and slide down the much larger slides from the upper levels. Four larger water slides splashdown into their very own splash zone. This is a great feature because there are lifeguards at each water slide exit to make sure that this area is always safe and secure. Little kids cant wander in and get hurt by the bigger kids coming down the slides.
The entire family can play at Walkabout Waters. Small water geysers continuously bubbling in the shallow pool. Multiple water spraying systems around the play area keep everyone cool during the hot days. Watch out for water dropping from above. There are 2 large drenching buckets that tip when they fill, flowing hundreds of gallons of water on anyone nearby. All of the kids will have such a great time climbing around and chasing one another. The kids will have so much fun you might have to remind them that there are other places in the park to enjoy.

Outside Food Is Permitted Within Limits
While other Aquatica by SeaWorld water parks prohibit coolers and outside food/beverages from entering the park, Aquatica Orlando does allow coolers.
Guests who bring in coolers must adhere to the water parks rules. Coolers entering the park may contain:
- Snacks in individual serving sizes
- Bottled water
- Baby food in plastic containers
The following food and beverage items are not allowed inside the park:
- Picnic lunches or other family portion servings
- Any outside beverages except bottled water
- Glass containers of any kind are not permitted.
Coolers also must not exceed 16-quart size. Keeping these Aquatica Orlando tips in mind will help you know which food and beverages to pack for the day.

Aquatica Orlando: What Are The Must
What makes Aquatica Orlando different from other water parks are the live animals you can observe on some of the attractions. Loggerhead Lane is a lazy river that travels through underwater tunnels where you can view tropical fish the Dolphin Plunge slide goes directly through a Commersons dolphin pool. Theres also a viewing area if you arent quite ready to take the plunge.

Aquatica San Antonio is the beautiful family water park associated with SeaWorld San Antonio. The SeaWorld parks in Florida and California also have Aquatica water parks, if youre closer to those locations. Know before you go is more important in 2020 than ever, so Ive put together some insider tips that will help you make the most of your visit to Aquatica San Antonio.

The dog days of summer are my least favorite time of the year. The humidity and heat index are high. We get a little stir crazy inside our house but its not fun to be outside unless theres a cool body of water nearby. Were an outdoor family but the outdoors loses some appeal with its a a gazillion degrees Fahrenheit. Okay, so Im exaggerating but only a little bit.
A water park is the perfect place to be on a hot San Antonio summer day.

How Do You Get Tickets For Aquatica Orlando
Aquatica Orlando uses a date-based reservation system. All guests are required to have a reservation in order to enter the park. Because of this, its a good idea to purchase tickets and make a reservation ahead of time. You also save money by buying your tickets online instead of at the gate. You can purchase tickets and make reservations on Aquaticas website.
