Pay Tribute To The Heroes At West Virginia Veterans Memorial
The West Virginia Veterans Memorial is a memorial to West Virginians who perished in World War I and II. It is situated at the State Capitol Complex on Kanawha Boulevard East.
The memorial, built between 1991 and 1999, consists of a two-story oval monument, four limestone monoliths, and a pool. The names of over 10,000 men and women who died during the conflicts are inscribed on the polished black granite interior walls.
