Mobile Al: One Of America’s Most Romantic Getaways

Time to strap on your kissing boots

Probably the largest pre-requisite for a city to be considered a romantic getaway are the sunsets. If an area lacks a gorgeous dusk, what’s the point of packing up the bags to head out there? This guru of romance certainly can’t think of one. The third largest city in Alabama, Mobile, sitting on its south eastern border, has just as beautiful sunsets as anywhere, due to it residing in the Mobile Bay, a spectacular body of water which connects to the Gulf of Mexico. Not only does Mobile have gorgeous sunsets, but whether you travel to Orange Beach, Dauphin Island or Florida’s Pensacola Beach, you have some of the most dazzling, white sand beaches in existence. So not only is Mobile terrifically romantic, but it is completely surrounded by romance as well! How many places can say that?

Let’s be honest here I could go on and on about the various awesome museums and historical sites in Mobile, but that’s not romantic. Sure, Mobile is an amazing town to visit for a wide variety of reasons, and makes a great stop for history buffs, families and anyone who just love exploring America. If you’re here in Mobile for any of those reasons, there is plenty to do, but if you’re here for romance, it’s the nightlife and quality hotels offered downtown which rightly have your interest. In short: both are excellent.
