The Elissa is based in Galveston, Texas, and is one of the oldest ships sailing today! It also happens to be Jen & Matthews favorite clipper ship!
Being local Houstonions and Texans, our family loves all things water related, which is why we found ourselves living in and loving Kemah, Texas. Imagine our excitement when we had the opportunity to purchase the Clipper in November 2020…yes, we bought a bed and breakfast during a pandemic! The enchanting courtyard, historical presence, charming shops, and quaint cottages embrace all that we love about the city we live in. We simply could not pass up the chance to play a larger role in bringing our community to life. So, we jumped in head first and set sail making the Clipper our own.
Youll often find all six of us boating around Clear Lake, strolling the Boardwalk, or grabbing oysters at a local dive. We are also big-time travelers, and absolutely love exploring Texas as well as many other places outside of our great state. We love to learn about and embrace what new places have to offer. We find that some of our most cherished family memories are made while traveling. We are so excited to share our love for travel through the Clipper as you sail away with us for a while!
