The Printing Office Of Edes & Gill

This printing office is a real hidden gem and could easily be missed as it is so small!

Founded in 1713, the Clough House is one of Bostons oldest surviving brick residences and, walking into the historic building, you and your family are sure to feel as if you have stepped back in time.

Within the printing office are members dressed in colonial attire, happy to demonstrate the mechanics of the printing press, while at the same time emphasizing the importance of free speech and the necessity of communication distribution.

Nearby are two adjoining townhouses, used for social, civic, administrative, and educational and parish programs.

Have Fun On A Pub Crawl

With all that colonial and European heritage going on here, there are a ton of pubs in Boston. Like, we really mean a lot. Not so much British boozers either, but there are a fair few Irish pubs here. When the Irish immigrated to Boston it seems they brought their pubs with them and were fine with that.

The pubs in the Faneuil area of the Historic Downtown of Boston are where its at. Here youll find pubs like the mentally old Green Dragon Tavern , The Bell In Hand Tavern , and the Warren Tavern . Basically, drinking your way around these pubs is one of the best things to do in Boston at night. No doubt about it.

Weve tested countless day packs over the years, and now weve found our absolute favourite: the traveller-approved Osprey Daylite Plus.

Want more deetz on why we love it so damn much? Then read our comprehensive review for the inside scoop!

Originally opened in 1925, the Wang Theatre is pretty much an institution of Boston. Going there, even just to see the outside of it, is cool enough. But for one of the more cultured things to do in Boston at night, wed highly recommend getting yourself a ticket to see one of the nightly performances at this storied venue.

Check Out The Spite House

Also known as the Skinny House, the Spite House is not only a fun site to see, it has a great story to go with it.

As the story goes, during the American Civil War, two brothers inherited some property. One brother was away serving in the military, and the other brother took the opportunity to take over the inheritance, building a house big enough that he was certain his brother wouldnt have room for a home of his own.

When the second brother returned from the war, he built the narrow Spite House on what was left of the property, blocking light and views from reaching his brothers house.

The Spite House is located directly across the street from the Copps Hill Burying Ground, so if youre walking the Freedom Trail, you wont miss it!
