Krauses Cafe And Biergarten

NEW BRAUNFELS, TX- TOP 17 THINGS TO DO in New Braunfels, Texas

Krauses serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also have live music in their Biergarten which has a very authentic Oktoberfest vibe. I lived in Germany so I can vouch for that.

I enjoyed the Texas Schnitzel. It had a jalapeno cream gravy that seemed on the mild side at first but it definitely caught up with me.

Krauses Cafe has a very extensive beer menu and a food menu that focuses heavily on German style food, although they have other items as well. We tried the Texas Schnitzel, the Jager Schnitzel, the cheeseburger and the vegan lentil soup. The latter seems like a weird thing to order in a German restaurant but it was what one of my sons wanted and they did a good job with it.

Inside and outside seating available. We sat inside and while it was nice, the Biergarten seemed to be the place to be to get the full experience. Id like to return and try Krauses for breakfast along with a visit to the farmers market on Saturday mornings.
