Hang Out At Truck Yard

Truck Yard is an experience. This food truck park bills itself as a beer garden and adult playground, which is quite an appropriate description.

With a handful of food trucks every day plus the permanent bars and cheesesteak counter, theres lots of food and beverages to choose from. Truck Yard goes beyond food, too. There are regular events like the annual luau, a five-day Cinco de Mayo celebration, live music, movie screenings, costume contests, and many more opportunities for fun and entertainment.

Check out the Farmers Market website to find out about special events. One of my favorite ones is the Boho Market weekend, which seems to occur every few months. This weekend houses almost twice the usual amount of booths, many of which include a great selection of handmade craft goods.

I moved to Dallas! I Things to Know before moving to Texas

The Dallas Museum of Art, located downtown on N Harwood Street, is the perfect thing to do in Dallas for artists. One of my favorite things about this museum is the fact that admission is FREE. I have enjoyed many an afternoon escaping the heat while wandering through the exhibits featured here.

The DMA celebrates artistic style from all kinds of different time periods and geographical locations. So, you dont really have to be a true art-lover to be able to appreciate what they have to offer! If you like history or sculpture or even unique antique furniture, you will find something that catches your interest. Plus, they usually do a featured exhibit every couple of months, which can be really unique and fun. The most recent one they had for Summer 2019 was a Dior exhibit.
