8. 2nd Avenue Pizza

Not only the best pizza in Sandpoint but probably some of the best pizza Ive ever had! These pizzas are piled high with cheese and toppings, which make it a staple for our family to enjoy whenever we are in town. Known for its quality, its usually a long wait for your pizza so we tend to order it for take-out vs. eating in the restaurant. But trust me, its worth the wait!

9. Eichardts

Located next to the McDuffs Beer Hall, youll think you are walking into a dive bar when you walk in. Instead, you will find a fabulous food menu with affordable pricing, just in a dive-bar setting. We eat at Eichardts often and I highly recommend eating there when visiting Sandpoint.

The only downside is that while Eichardts allows children, it doesnt have an actual kids menu. They will do half-portions, which works for us, but the fact they dont have a dedicated kids menu is worth mentioning.

10. Serv-a-Burger

While we normally dont eat fast food there is still something to be said about the convenience and affordability of a quick burger. If you are looking for fast, delicious, cheap eats in Sandpoint, look no further than the local Serv-a-Burger!

Bonner County Historical Museum

Located in Lakeview Park, the Bonner Historical Society and Museum has been collecting, protecting and showcasing local Bonner County history for nearly 50 years. The museum started off with just a small collection of rocks and fossils but over the years the county residents have donated thousands of historic artifacts to the museum. Visitors are invited to come an learn about the early days in Bonner County by spending an hour or two exploring the remarkable collections which now number in excess of 1 million artifacts. These are divided into permanent and temporary exhibits, all of which demonstrate the life and times of early Bonner County settlers and the Native Americans who preceded them.

Things To Do In Sandpoint Idaho This Summer

Last Updated on November 15, 2020 by JaimeSays

When I think back about our Idaho scenic byway honeymoon, one of the places I wish we had more time at is Sandpoint, Idaho. Whether it is a holiday weekend or not, there are so many things to do in Sandpoint, Idaho As the first stop on our 10-day Idaho road trip, we indulged in leisure. A little less time lounging would have allowed us to see more of this fantastic town in northern Idaho. Because we had never been, we had no idea what could fill our time.

All the blogs that I had read suggested that Coeur DAlene was where we should spend the bulk of our time. Since I like to avoid crowds, CDA with the Kardashians was definitely not for us. As fate would have it, Sandpoint was perfect for us. With so many things to do and much smaller crowds than you would get from more popular towns in Idaho, Sandpoint made for one of my favorite stops. Update: Sandpoint left such a lasting impression on me that I returned! Ill be writing soon about my end of the summer trip, and things that were different from my height of summer visit.

Bike Downtown And The Boise River Greenbelt

This is the ICONIC Boise activity and the best way to tour the downtown area. The city is incredibly bike-friendly, and parts of Downtown Boise have dedicated bike lanes. From downtown, head toward the Boise River Greenbelt to experience the citys heart and soul, The Boise River. This 25-mile paved pathway follows along the Boise River and takes you to numerous city parks, including our personal favorite, The Esther Simplot Park. You can easily spend an entire day biking the Greenbelt and stopping at places that interest you. For a map of the Greenbelt and points of interest along the way, check out this site here. Theres also a Boise Greenbelt app that gives directions and food recommendations.TIP: We got free bikes through our hotel, but you can rent bikes from the locally-owned shop Idaho Mountain Touring. I like that they offer kids bikes and toddler trailers!
