This Museum of Pittsburgh is a hands-on interactive childrens museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is in the Allegheny Center neighborhood in Pittsburghs Northside. This new museum continues to delight and inspires children of all ages , providing four times more space to learn, play and create amidst diverse stuff which includes the Backyard, Studio, Kindness Gallery, Garage, Workshop, Nursery, Theater and MAKESHOP.
Entry to the Childrens Museum of Pittsburgh is free for all active-duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The free entry in function is available to any bearer of a Geneva Convention Common Access Card , a DD Form 1173 ID Card, or a DD Form 1173-1 ID Card, which includes active-duty military personneland up to five of their immediate family membersin the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Reserve. You get to spend time in the cafe, food trucks, and more with great eats for the whole family if not willing have out side food you are allowed to bring your own food to enjoy in the museum Food Court.

The Color Park In South Side
Much like how the skyline can be viewed along a river trail in the North Side, the same is true for the South Side.
While there are also many spots along the trail to get a great skyline view, one of the more unusual ones is The Color Park- a small parklet painted with vibrant colors and graffiti off of 6th Street.
Do yourself a favor and check this one out. Although it is quite small, the colors and view will surely make you happy. After, walk a bit west to check out the views at Station Square and underneath the Fort Pitt Bridge!
There is a parking lot right next to The Color Park however, note that access is reserved during the workweek. For those visiting Monday-Friday, you’ll either want to park a few blocks away in permit areas or pay to park at a meter/lot nearby.
Head To The Point Of View Statue For The Best View
If there is one thing about the Duquesne Incline and the viewpoint on Mount Washington I find most interesting, it would be that there is an even better vantage point located just a few minutes away from the station’s platform- and very few people seem to know about it.
When you exit the station, turn right, and head up a small hill roughly 300 feet. You’ll come to a statue of George Washington and Seneca leader Guyasuta during one of their meetings which occurred in the region .
Not only is this statue and published history interesting and worth reading about on the placards at the site, the view of the city is even better than at the incline itself thanks to the lack of fencing and other obstructions that are present on the official viewing platform.

Set on 2,000 wooded acres in the Laurel Highlands, the four-season Nemacolin Woodlands Resort offers skiing and snow sports in the winter and two championship golf courses when the snow melts.
