Hike With Celebs In Runyon Canyon

Even if hiking isn’t your thing, tourists hoping to catch a glimpse of a celebrity in their native environment will want to make an exception and take a hike in Runyon Canyon. The path, which runs north/south through Runyon Canyon Park from Hollywood’s Fuller Avenue to Mulholland Drive, is convenient to the city’s residential areas and therefore a common place for celebrities to run off some steam, and Runyon’s off-leash dog park is equally popular.

Runyon Canyon Road is the easiest of the routes to take, a wide and relatively smooth path that is maintained as a fire road but closed to traffic. For a more challenging hike, the Star Trail is a good option, and more ambitious and experienced hikers can try the Hero Trail, a more difficult path that leads to the park’s highest point, Indian Rock.

Things To Do In North Hollywood / The Valley

11 Things To Do in North Hollywood / The Valley in 2020

Hollywood and West Hollywood aren’t the only must-see places to visit when you’re on vacation in Los Angeles. Take a road trip up to North Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley and experience these vibrant hidden gems. People in California and around the United States come to visit the kitschy bars, great hang out spots, and activities.

I’ve lived in North Hollywood for over 4 years and this somewhat gritty and slightly gentrified area has so much to offer. Even though I like to call it “NoHo – Up To No Good,” you’ll fall for its’ charm.

Let me show you around my neighborhood!

1. Get up, close, and personal with iconic Hollywood Sign by visiting Lake Hollywood. You can also hike up the mountain on one of the several hikes that range from 3-miles to a 11 miles roundtrip.

Did you know that the sign read “Hollywoodland” from 1923 to 1949?

2. Go behind-the-scenes of current and classic Hollywood sets on any of the Hollywood Studio Tours. You can re-create a famous scene from the hit television show Friends at Warner Brothers Studio, have a blast at the attractions like Fast & The Furious: Supercharged at Universal Studios, and even see some behind-the-scenes areas that bring the history of Walt Disney to life with the Adventures By Disney: Disney Backstage tour.

Walk Through The Bradbury Building

The Bradbury Building is a marvelous anomaly in LA, something of a Downtown architectural oasis. The five-story office building from 1893 stays true to its heritage: it has a well-lit Victorian court rising to almost 50 feet with open cage elevators and marble stairs.

If the building looks familiar, it features countless films including Blade Runner, Double Indemnity, and Chinatown.

We started taking the parent and me classes for infants and toddlers when my daughter was little, and I loved that it gave me a chance to splash around while my kid was being introduced to the basics. Strict covid protocols are in place and I like that the indoor pool area is surrounded by glass windows that can open up for ventilation, which I always ask for them to do.
