Howard P Rawlings Conservatory And Botanic Gardens
Just outside of the center of Baltimore, the Howard P. Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens is situated in Druid Hill Park. Established in 1888, the conservatory at that time consisted only of a Palm House, a gorgeous piece of Victorian architecture containing palm trees. The Palm House still stands, and it is the second oldest conservatory in the United States.

The Chase Lloyd House isnt just a historic home, its also an incredibly important one in terms of serving the community.
Samuel Chase, its builder, Edward Lloyd IV both owned it, as well did many others.
However, it was Hester Chase Ridout who gave the Chase Lloyd House its legacy as an indispensable part of the Annapolis community.

Things To Do In Frederick For Date Night Take A Hike Literally
Not far from Catoctin Breeze Vineyard sits Cunningham Falls State Park. If youre looking for an outdoorsy date, you really cant go wrong here. The walk/hike back to Cunningham Falls is well worth it and the view is calming and lovely. Of course, my idea is to make it a picnic date, so pack a dinner and get ready for a scenic drive. Theres a pretty beach area as well another great spot for a picnic.
Lets talk amenities for a minute. As a self-professed indoor girl, its nice to know the bathrooms are well-maintained and clean. Also, youll find picnic tables to sit at, but it does get busy during the summer and on pretty days, so bring a blanket just in case.
Tip: There is an admission fee to enter Cunningham Falls State Parks Beach area. Cost is $3 per state resident or $5 per out-of-state folks.

Things To Do In Maryland: Antietam National Battlefield
The Antietam National Battlefield in north-west Maryland is protected by the National Park Service along the Antietam Creek and commemorates the bloodiest one-day battle in American history. The Civil War battle, which took place on September 17, 1862, left 23,000 soldiers dead.
You can visit the battlefield site as well as the Antietam National Military Service, in which 5,000 Union soldiers from the Battle of Antietam, as well as veterans of World War I, World War II, the Spanish-American War, and the Korean War are buried. A visitors center contains exhibits about the battle and the Civil War, and they screen a 26-minute film narrated by James Earl Jones. There is a small field hospital museum displaying typical medical equipment used in the Civil War period.
