During our visit, we enjoyed a WONDERFUL Italian lunch at PBS chef Lidia Bastianichs famous KC restaurant.

The menu changes frequently based on seasonal ingredients to guarantee the highest quality.

My favorite menu item that day was the ravioli but I dont think that you can go wrong with any of the menu items.

Also, make sure that you leave room for dessert. Trust me!

The town topic hamburgers was started in the year 1937 and initially only sold hamburgers at 5 cents but as time progressed, this diner came to be known as the authentic place to eat some of the tastiest classic American dishes.

The restaurant has a welcoming environment and is opened 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Some of the mouth-watering dishes you can try here include cinnamon roll, hot cakes and most importantly, their famous hamburgers.

Get Cultured At The Nelson

A world-renowned art museum, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is a stunning tribute to both Kansas City and American culture.

The first stop for many on a tour through KCs cultural district, the museum is within easy reach by foot or public transportation from the common tourist areas. This massive complex houses nearly 50 acres of awe-inspiring masterpieces from across time periods and continents.

Educate Yourself At The Kansas City Public Library

The Kansas city public library is in itself marvelous but even better than the actual building is the librarys parking garage which has books lined up on a shelf except these books are 25 feet high and 9 feet wide and include Fahrenheit 451 and the lord of the rings.

This legendary library was founded in the year 1873 and includes books, original and published materials, pamphlets, journals, photographs, post cards, news articles and a collection of the citys local history.

The Museum is managed by the Federal Reserve Bank located in the city. It is meant to educate those wanting to learn about money and how it affects societys economy.

Anyone can visit the Money Museum without any charges during the regular business hour in the city. Visitors do not necessarily need a reservation before exploring the Money Museum as long as the visitation is during the regular working hour.

My favorite spot is in the corner at their iconic blue couch.

Deanna Rose Childrens Farmstead

Well, the name says it all and you can expect to find an entire farmstead housed in a park here. The Deanna Rose Childrens Farmstead is in the Overland Park area and is approximately twelve acres big.

It is a fun and entertaining place for children of all ages and opens daily from April through October.

Children will get to experience farm life firsthand here and can explore animals and other features. They will get to bottle-feed baby goats and fish using cane poles and worms.

Afterward, they can take a horse-drawn carriage ride, pan for treasure, and visit the old schoolhouse. This is a very unique attraction and definitely not one to miss!
