The Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center is a great location for families and friends to spend a day together, learning about the environment, conservation techniques, ecology and natural history. Everyone will enjoy the view of a variety of snakes, both venomous and non-venomous, turtles, tortoises, fish, alligators and invertebrates. There is a walking trail to see native wildlife, walking through wetlands and by ponds. Get into the hiking trails, displays, and unique attractions of the Center and plan to spend at least three hours for a complete visit.

Flying Horse Farms in Mt. Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Even if youve never tried stand up paddle boarding before, its pretty easy to stand up on a SUP and actually quite relaxing.

The Whitewater Express folks brought our boards down to the flat part of the river , and got us all set up, then climbed down to pick everything up, so all we had to do was paddle.

My favorite part was being able to see what was on the bottom of the river. We were able to see fish and turtles!

Renting a SUP is seasonal, and is available in the summer.
