The South Carolina Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum is one of the oldest museums in Columbia.
In fact, its the third oldest in the entire state!
Its dedicated to telling the history and tales of war, from the Revolutionary War and beyond until the current war on terrorism.
Most of the Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum focuses on the Civil War, with a range of memorabilia, guns, uniforms, artifacts, and medical gear that speak volumes about the so-called War between the States.
Its more than just little bits and pieces of remnants, though its also manuscripts, ledgers, detailed letters, and written documentation that truly entrenches you in the story of the war and what life was like back then.
The Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum is maintained by the Daughters of the American Revolution.
