Thunderball Grotto – Staniel Cay

Located just west of Staniel Cay, this fantastic underwater cave system is great for snorkeling, diving, and wading. It is teeming with exotic marine life and a kaleidoscope of brilliantly colored coral reefs and fish, like yellow-tail snappers, Angel fish, Sergeant Majors and the like. The grottos mystique is heightened by the small, almost hidden entrance. It is advised to enter at ebb tide and snorkeling equipment is optional. At high tide, however, diving equipment is necessary.

Know The Current Covid Restrictions

Things to do at Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark: The Bahamas

Visit the Atlantis site for the most up-to-date rules and Bahamas travel restrictions for international travelers.

As of May 1, 2021, international visitors who are fully vaccinated are exempt from required testing for entry to The Bahamas. All unvaccinated international visitors to The Bahamas age 11 and up are still required to have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken no more than five days prior to their arrival date in The Bahamas. The day you take the test is considered Day Zero.

Once you have a negative test result, you must apply for a Bahamas Travel Health Visa for every member of your travel group, including children 10 and under. Complete the health visa application online as soon as possible because it can take up to 48 hours to process.

The fee for the Bahamas Travel Health Visa is $40 per person for a four-night stay $60 per person for more than a four-night stay. This fee covers mandatory health insurance. Children 10 years and under are free but still require a visa.

After arrival in The Bahamas, you will receive a daily Bahamas Health Travel Visa via email. All travelers age 11 and up are required to complete this short five-question survey each day of their trip, starting on their arrival date. Parents can complete the survey on behalf of their children.

If you stay in The Bahamas more than four nights, you will need to take another government-mandated Rapid Antigen test on Day 5 of your stay.
