Thunderball Grotto – Staniel Cay
Located just west of Staniel Cay, this fantastic underwater cave system is great for snorkeling, diving, and wading. It is teeming with exotic marine life and a kaleidoscope of brilliantly colored coral reefs and fish, like yellow-tail snappers, Angel fish, Sergeant Majors and the like. The grottos mystique is heightened by the small, almost hidden entrance. It is advised to enter at ebb tide and snorkeling equipment is optional. At high tide, however, diving equipment is necessary.
The grotto got its name from the 1965 James Bond spy film Thunderball, which was shot there. It was also the site of another James Bond film, Never Say Never Again in 1983, also based on the Thunderball novel. from The Islands of the Bahamas Website

Every summer, Atlantis Bahamas partners with Cartoon Network to up the fun factor at the resort. Spend The Day At The Beach
There is no shortage of gorgeous beaches in the Bahamas! On each of the islands, you can find white or pink sands looking out over crystal clear turquoise waters. If you are a guest of Atlantis or book a day-pass you can head to their private beaches where they have some chairs and umbrellas set up at no cost to you.
While many resorts have private beaches for their residents, there are also several public beaches you can enjoy! Cable beach is one of the most popular, we stayed there on my first trip to the Bahamas when I was just a toddler! There is also Cabbage beach, Junkanoo beach which is a great option for cruisers since it is close to downtown, Love beach which is typically for locals, Western Esplanade, and Saunders beach. There are two distinctly different river rides for your Atlantis family fun day. The Lazy River Ride is a relaxing and scenic float ride where guest meander slowly through a tropical landscape. The lazy river is a quarter mile loop and guided by a mental current. The second is the Rapids River Ride. Here guest take a mile long river ride through lush tropical foliage. Guest will enjoy being on their inner tubes as they are propelled through the water, venturing through caves, splashing along the rolling waves, and dipping under waterfalls. Life jackets are available for free for your little adventures.
Have A Drink At John Watlings Distillery In Nassau
If youre after a taste of true Bahamian rum, the John Watlings distillery is the place to settle into.
The Buena Vista Estate is where all the magic happens, with free tours of the distillery and museum and classic Bahamian cocktails at the on-site tavern, this is a must-do for rum lovers and rum lovers-to-be.

Know The Current Covid Restrictions
As of May 1, 2021, international visitors who are fully vaccinated are exempt from required testing for entry to The Bahamas. All unvaccinated international visitors to The Bahamas age 11 and up are still required to have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken no more than five days prior to their arrival date in The Bahamas. The day you take the test is considered Day Zero.
Once you have a negative test result, you must apply for a Bahamas Travel Health Visa for every member of your travel group, including children 10 and under. Complete the health visa application online as soon as possible because it can take up to 48 hours to process.
The fee for the Bahamas Travel Health Visa is $40 per person for a four-night stay $60 per person for more than a four-night stay. This fee covers mandatory health insurance. Children 10 years and under are free but still require a visa.
After arrival in The Bahamas, you will receive a daily Bahamas Health Travel Visa via email. All travelers age 11 and up are required to complete this short five-question survey each day of their trip, starting on their arrival date. Parents can complete the survey on behalf of their children.
If you stay in The Bahamas more than four nights, you will need to take another government-mandated Rapid Antigen test on Day 5 of your stay.

Established in 1937 by Jamaican horticulturist Hedley Vivian Edwards, Ardastra Gardens, Zoo and Conservation Centre was the Bahamas first zoo and is now home to over 200 animals. Located in the heart of Nassau, the center is spread over more than four acres of lush tropical gardens that are inhabited by a wide variety of mammal, reptile and bird species, including the Caribbean flamingo, the Bahamas national bird.
The now endangered Caribbean flamingo was introduced to the island in the 1950’s, beginning an extremely successful breeding program that is still in effect today. The center is surrounded by tranquil, restorative gardens, and visitors to the zoo can enjoy close encounters with more than 135 of the centers collection of animals.
