Dinosaur Valley State Park

This park is a great place to visit with your family.

It is a state park and includes hiking trails, wildlife viewing areas, picnic facilities, and more.

The coolest thing about this park is you can walk in actual dinosaur footprints. The best area is called the Ballroom, with the most number of tracks.

The footprints are not always visible as they are in the river bed, but you can call ahead to check on visibility.

You should wear hiking shoes that can go in water easily and clothes that work well in water.

My own kids loved swimming in the river and pretending that the dinosaurs were coming to drink the river water all around them.

This is best for 3-year-olds up, but we went when our youngest was just a year old, and she had a lot of fun

This could take as little as 3 hours or as long as an entire weekend if you decide to camp there.

There is a lot to see and do, and the rivers cool waters will make you not want to leave.
