New York City. Theres no place like this one in the whole world. At least, thats what the movies and our friends living in the Big Apple tell us.

They have proudly proclaimed it to be the greatest city in the world. Even if youre skeptical because its self-declared, theres a reason Sinatra sang about it.

Its certainly a great holiday destination for the entire family.

Enjoy A Coffee At Felix Roasting Co

The best indoor activities in London for kids

Read my blog even a little bit and you know how hardcore obsessed I am with coffee, aka the nectar of the Gods.

Thats why, one of my favie fave indoor activities in NYC is to sit in a charming little coffee shop, drink copious amounts of delicious java, people watch, and just generally be a beyond happy human.

And while there are a ton of amazing coffee shops in NYC , none of them have the ability to effortlessly transport you to the charming streets of Vienna quite like Felix Roasting Co.

Because as you can see from the above photo, its a beyond opulent, plush pink coffee shop on Park Avenue South that is worth a visit for the decor and photo ops alone.

Plus, I mean, hello, they actually have MILK on tap here and even serve a ton of specialty coffees that I didnt even know existed.

No, seriously. Give their smoked smores latte a try and I promise you will NOT regret it since they actually smoke the coffee and torch the marshmallow right in front of you.

A fact that is not all that surprising since Felix Roasting Company is all about unique coffee flavors, no matter how outrageous the combination.

So, stop by today and make sure to bring an open mind because while youre here, the crazier the latte you order, the better.

You should also be 110% prepared to shell out upwards of $12 on a specialty coffee. But, honestly? Its totally worth it.

Address: 450 Park Avenue South

Hours: Open every day from 7 am to 6 pm.

Price: Lattes here start at $4.75.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve In New York

People from all over the world fly to NYC in December, especially during New Years Eve. They come here to experience the popular ball drop live while standing in the frigid December temperatures in the middle of Times Square. Live performances by famous artists are part of the outstanding program in Times Square every year. Its pretty much a big party.

In order to get a decent spot a view, we recommend arriving no later than 3 PM. Many roads around the event are closed off and condensed foot traffic on the streets is inevitable. Definitely, plan on walking for a good amount of time. Being part of this tradition will be very special.

You know whats really unique about New York? The view of the snow-covered Central Park from one of the observation decks! With the Top of the Rock, The Edge Hudson Yards and the SUMMIT One Vanderbilt you have three to choose from!

And then theres the One World Observatory and the Empire State Building. You should go to the latter late at night from Thursday to Saturday. Because then a saxophonist plays on the 86th floor!

My tip: if you are cold, you can go inside and enjoy the view from the inside. Because each of the observation decks has additional floors with floor-to-ceiling windows.

    Bowl It Up At Bowlmor

Looking for fun things to do in NYC in the rain? If so then bowling is always a solid choice since it takes you out of the elements and is a classic activity that can be enjoyed by adults and kids alike.

And while there are tons of different bowling alleys throughout NYC, one of my all-time faves will forever and always be Bowlmor.

Yeah, they basically completely changed the entire bowling game when they first opened their franchise and now have locations scattered all across NYC.

Although truth be told, their Times Square location is probably the most centrally located outpost for anyone visiting NYC from out of town.

    But, wait, why Bowlmor specifically?

Well, its basically part entertainment center and part bowling alley. Plus, they have a grand total of six different alleys that are spread throughout two floors lanes that each have their own individual decor theme, including Central Park, Chinatown, Coney Island, Times Square, etc.

Now, is it a little bit over the top and ridiculous? You betcha! But who cares? Thats all part of the appeal and thats something that any potential children you have will totally ADORE.

And if you and your fam arent super into bowling, then you can always make use of their two different bars , arcade, billiards tables, and lane-side snack areas that serve iconic treats like nachos, French fries, chicken wings – easily making this one of the best bowling alleys in Manhattan.
