The Museum Of Jurassic Technology
The Museum of Jurassic Technology is one of those tourist attractions that you cant even get near to explaining well until you actually see it for yourself.
The museum doesnt consider itself so much as an educational resource as a spot dedicated to the muses, according to its brochure.
Essentially, The Museum of Jurassic Technology prides itself on sticking to the original meaning of the word museum a place that lets the mind wander and ponder as it muses.
Its collection of exhibits is the most eclectic youll find in Los Angeles, California.
Some of the most interesting showcases in the museum are the Garden of Eden on Wheels, which is a micro-sculpture diorama exhibiting trailer park culture that is viewed through the eye of a needle, and the works of Jesuit scholar Athanasius Kircher.
Dont expect to get much sense out of this LA museum its all confusing, and thats what makes it so good!

Best Time To Visit Los Angeles
There really isnt a bad time to visit LA with how warm Southern California weather is year-round.
With that said, if you want to avoid the hottest part of the year when the crowds and the smog are at their worst, avoid the summer season if possible, from June through August.
One of my favorite times of the year to visit Los Angeles is in the spring when the air quality is decent from March to May.
The fall and winter are also good times to visit for slightly cooler temperatures and better deals on accommodation.
The only thing to note is that there might be a small chance of rain during the winter, but, lets be honest, this is LA were talking about.
Rain is not a given and you can usually count on two hands the number of days per year that it rains in the city.
Just keep in mind that a lot of the famous award shows in Los Angeles happen in the winter, so the city might be busier than usual on those weekends.
Its worth it to check ahead of time when the Grammys and the Academy Awards take place if you plan to discover Los Angeles in the winter.
Get Some Selfies At The Urban Light At Lacma
Although the Los Angeles County Museum of Art charges a small fee to enter, the Urban Light display out front is another one of the free things to do in Los Angeles. The work of art by Christopher Burden is a collection of 202 antique streetlights arranged in a stunning display. Most of the lamps were collected on his own over the years.
Burden started his collection in his backyard in the 80s and it was noticed by a museum director in 2008 who moved it to LACMA. About 50 more lamps were added and they were all converted to solar power, so they shine 24/7/365. This is an important selfie spot and can already be seen all over social media.

Walt Disney Concert Hall
On the list of popular things to do in DTLA, the Walt Disney Concert Hall has been hosting live performances since 2003 when it first opened.
The concert hall is most famous for its modern and unique architecture designed by Frank Gehry, which has made it a great place for photography in Los Angeles.
The Walt Disney Concert Hall is located in downtown LA and is part of the Los Angeles Music Center Complex.
This is where you can see a performance by the talented Los Angeles Philharmonic in the winter or simply take a ton of photos from the outside.
Local tip: Even if you take a tour of the building, you wont be able to see the auditorium where live shows happen unless you buy a ticket to one of them because of rehearsal schedules. However, even if you just see the building from the outside, its one of the most impressive architectural landmarks in Los Angeles and well worth a visit if youre into design.
See A Rehearsal At Hollywood Bowl
The Hollywood Bowl is near and dear to many Angelenos, and probably one of the most recognized landmarks in the city. Every summer this venue offers a wide range of great outdoor concerts. The tickets can be quite pricey depending on the seats and performers, but twice a week rehearsals for the LA Philharmonic are free. Since Gustavo Dudamel is currently the conductor of the LA Phil, this is a really a treat.

Visit Cathedral Of Our Lady Of The Angeles And See The John Nava Tapestries
This is not your parents cathedral. You will not think you are in Europe. Instead, youll encounter a modern place of worship that is representative of Los Angeles in the twenty-first century. I love this cathedral, but it has certainly caused controversy in the city, especially amongst Catholics.
What I especially enjoy seeing are the 46 foot high John Nava Tapestries hanging on the walls of the sanctuary depicting the saints. You can learn all about the cathedral and tapestries on a free tour.
