The 42nd annual Bluegrass & Chili Festival will take place Friday, Sept. 9, and Saturday, Sept. 10, in downtown Wagoner.
Festivities will include three stages of free concerts by national and regional artists performing a variety of music, including country, gospel, bluegrass, classic rock and R& B.

A unique feature of Tulsas downtown is the Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness Area. Maintained by the citys River Parks authority, the space offers visitors miles of dirt trails and climbing boulders for children. The park welcomes leashed dogs and horses.
The red trail is an easy .8 mile loop for families with small children and a paved trail runs alongside the Arkansas River. The main parking lot is located at 67th and South Elwood.

The Tulsa Center of the Universe is best described as an acoustic anomaly. To the untrained eye it simply looks like a worn circle about eight feet in diameter but when you stand inside the circle and make a sound the noise is echoed back many times louder. The circle is made even more odd by the fact that people standing outside of the circle cannot hear the noise at all. Well, that is what the legend dictates but in reality, from outside the circle the noise is just distorted.

History runs deep at First Baptist Church North Tulsa, 1414 N. Greenwood Ave., where the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. preached on July 28, 1960. Its the oldest African-American church in Tulsa, founded in 1899. Youre invited to drop by any time to walk around and take pictures, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. And of course, youre invited to worship at 11 a.m. Sundays.

This weekend, the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium is hosting a rare World War Two bomber. The B-25 Mitchell, or Rosie the Riveter, was first introduced in 1941 and was named after Major General Billy Mitchell, an early pioneer in U.S. military aviation. The bomber served in every aspect of World War II, and many were retained for a long time after the war was over. The museum plans to dedicate the garden to the famous bomber in 2020.
The Tulsa Air and Space Museum was founded in 1998. While it was initially a small hangar, the museum grew to span 18 acres of exhibit space. It features an art deco airport terminal replica and a F-14 Tomcat fighter jet cockpit. It even features a space shuttle simulator! For an added thrill, the museum is staffed by a professional flight instructor who has a vast knowledge of both aircraft and astronauts.
