This is another Thomas Edison place we would like to visit. The admission is $7.00 for adults, and since kids under 16 are free, for us that would just be the $10.00. Branch Brook Park In Newark

We had the chance to visit this park during the cherry blossom season. Who knew that right here in NJ, you can find a park that has more cherry blossoms that Washington D.C.. The park is large, beautiful, has many paths, a lake, a playground, and some amazing architecture around it. Worth a visit, especially in April. See photos and read about our visit here.

George Woodruff Museum Of Indian Artifacts

Located in the Bridgeton Free Public Library this museum houses more then 30,000 pieces of Native American Relics. The admission is free. After I spoke to a wonderful lady there on the phone, she informed me that Wednesday afternoon is the best time to come, as there is some one there that is very knowledgeable and will be able to help and answer all the questions. The Emlen Physick Estate educates school children and other interested guests on Victorian-age architecture, decorative arts, customs, and one Cape May family, the Physicks. The estate is outstanding, with its avant garde Stick Style architecture, uncommon projections such as bays, raised boards, and overlaying clapboarded walls, geometric designed decorations, and asymmetric forms and roof lines. New Jersey State Museum Trenton

This is a great time to visit the state’s museum, as local artists’ works are on display. The “New Jersey Arts Annual: Reemergence” highlights the work of visual artists and craftspeople from around the state. This years exhibition shows artists from the state taking steps to “reemerge into an altered landscape” following the pandemic. There are 127 works by 95 artists in the exhibit. The museum also features its “Jaw Dropping World of Sharks” display through January 2023. The exhibition dispels myths and misunderstandings about sharks through fossil records and other specimens and artifacts. If you really love sharks, the museum holds a free sharks lecture on the second Saturday of each month at 2 p.m.

The museum also houses 12,000 other works of art, a collection of more than 2 million prehistoric and historic specimens, 13,000 artifacts that document the states history and a Civil War flags gallery showcasing the flags carried by New Jersey soldiers during the war, among other exhibits. There is a fee for the on-site planetarium, but admission to the museum is free.

Admission is free, and the zoo is open seven days a week.
