This electrifying show takes place during a utensil-free meal, where youll experience a castle-like setting and eat as royalty once did.

Youll consume a four-course meal with your hands, as they did in the Middle Ages, don a crown, and sit on stands as you gaze out at a performance in the arena.

The show includes a dressage show by well-trained horses, a falconry performance, and other stallion-related showcases.

But, of course, the sword fights are truly the most impressive of such offerings!

The tale of Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament is based on the documented story of an 11th-century noble family.

Kissimmee Lakefront Park And The Monument Of States

12 Free Things to do in Kissimmee During Your Stay ...

Kissimmee Lakefront Park is a lovely, verdant green space on Lakeview Drive.

Its one of the best places to visit for a break from the heat and bustle of Floridas cities.

Here, youll see gorgeous views of Lake Toho, a fishing pier to use, a nice splash zone for children, and tons of picnic areas.

You can also simply jog or walk along the many trails in the park.

Kissimmee Lakefront Park is also home to a unique monument known as the Monument of States.

It was erected after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

The idea was developed by Charles Bressler-Pettis, a retired doctor, who wrote to all of the 48 states at the time and asked them to send him rocks from each state.

This was to create a symbol of unity to bring the nation together.

Once all the rocks were delivered, Bressler-Pettis began building the 50-foot tower.

He did so by embedding each rock into a slab of concrete, then labeling the rocks with who sent it and where it came from.

The monument weighs more than 100,000 pounds and is both impressive and a little unsightly, with garish concrete, shining plaques, and mismatched fossils and rocks.

It even includes some from other countries!

This is definitely the highlight of Kissimmee Lakefront Park.

MONUMENT OF STATES, in Kissimmee, Florida. As the creation of Dr. Charles Bressler-Pettis, the monument was built in…

Posted by National Register of Historic Places – NPS on Tuesday, 26 January 2016

The Monument of States is a historical sight to see in Kissimmee and started in 1942 after the Pearl Harbor attack when Dr. Charles Bressler-Pettis, a local tourism enthusiast, wanted to build a symbol of American unity during the time of early World War II. He then began writing letters to the governors of all the states in the USA asking them to send him local rocks. They began sending him a variety of blocks of native granite, big chunks of quartz, small sized boulders, old fossils, pieces of old buildings, even President Franklin D. Roosevelt sent him a rock from his Hyde Park home. He then had it mortared into a pseudo-pyramid of concrete slabs. Each slab would have a rock encapsuled in it, along with the donors name and location. This moument is a unique one in the whole of Kissimmee and also the world.
