Treasures Of The Sea Exhibit

Located Stephen J. Betze Library on the campus of Delaware Technical Community College in Georgetown, Treasures of the Sea Exhibit is a fascinating collection of Spanish treasures from a 17th-century shipwreck, the Nuestra Señora de Atocha. The ship sank in a hurricane off the Florida coast on September 6, 1622, and famous treasure hunter Mel Fisher spent many years recovering the shipwrecks treasure, which is calculated to be worth more than $4 million.
